Tundra5-0
This is father in-law's F150 that is parked everyday under pine trees. For father's day my wife and I promised him a detail. He really got a good deal! The truck usually gets washed when it rains, so I had my work cut out for me. To get all the pine sap off the truck a sponge or wash mit would not do the trick. I had to resort to drastic measures. I used APC and a soft brush to get the sap off and here is the pics. This a side by side comparison of the sponge and the brush with APC! Some interior pics and now for the after....I had to use a rotary on the deep scratches with 3M fine rubbing compound, then SHR, FMP and finished it off with APW. Like i said he got a great deal! These pics were taken at a air field/museum call Massey Areodrome on the eastern shore of Maryland. The Adams reflection! The truck took about 5-6 hours to complete with alot of help from everyone. Materials used 3M compounds,Claybar, SHR, FMP, APW, VRT, Leather and Interior cleaner, IUCS(inv under carriage spray), Blue coral dry cleaner, in and out spray, water, hops and barley. Tundra5-0
Thanks, I think the sap actually protected the paint! Once I removed it I was suprised how nice the paint was. My father in-law is now looking for a car cover for his truck.

Tundra5-0
Thanks for the nice words, but I always have to give props to my wife who usually does the interiors on these dirty vehicles for me. When ever I know I'm getting a basket case of a job, I always schedule it on a day she is off. She does a great job cleaning cars due to the cleaning she does around the house.
