new order and a few questions

PostalTwo

Question

Hi guys I just made an order and thought I'd try out some adams detail spray and microfibers . I also got a sidekick blaster(love that thing :) )anyway my question is about the detail spray . I'm actually not impressed with it ,so I must be doing something wrong. I washed and dried with the blaster then went around with the spray to wipe up any water spots etc . I find that it's more like a spray wax ,I kept having to wipe it in and would get all kinds of streaking and have to turn over the towel to buff off the residue. Also i had to pinch the edge of the towel to keep it from slipping out of my hands .I don't have those kind of issues with other brand detail sprays or diluted rinseless . Any input is welcomed thanks in advance

The detail spray does have a very small amount of carnauba in it, so maybe that's what you're seeing? Now that I'm thinking back, when I use the detail spray to spot check, normally it does take a couple wipes to clean the area completely. But I think if give it an initial wipe and let it sit, it will slowly evaporate (I'm not sure the correct term), but eventually it should go away.

Also, what detail spray are you using, and how old is it? Shaken before use?

Brand new pumpkin spice detail spray . Yes shaken . It might be that it's just not the product I'm looking for .

is the towel sticking to the paint or is it simply falling off the paint? Also the streaking while typically visible durring the wipe of the paint usually is not visible after.

the towel is sticking to the paint I have to pinch the towel to keep it in my hand

It was clayed a month ago . I wash weekly . I'll keep playing with it . I clayed a fender yesterday to Polish. It's a respray that's softer than the factory clear and swirls just looking at it ,so next wash I'll try again and see if it's better
