I use diff towels depending on the level of dirt on the car.

I have not honestly dont a rinseless for a while, but if it was not thrashed I would use single softs or borderless grey.

I do use my rinseless made down to waterless quite often with waterless wash towels.

I thought the double soft would be the best solution, the only problem is they work out quite expensive to buy in the UK.

anyone got a good alternative?

Borderless Grays were mentioned previously by @pirahnah3.  These are what I use for my rinseless. Buy the stack if you can, and with a 15% sale they work out to be about $4.07 (USD) ea.   https://adamspolishes.com/the-stack-adam-s-borderless-gray-towel-24-pack.html

That stack is great! Awesome way to get a good bunch of towels for short money comparatively. I do also use them as they are lighter than other towels when filled with water.
