  1. I do have a couple Adam's bags that I use, but it'd still be nice to have everything over there, I always seem to forget something and have to come back home.  I also just got a few of the new 32oz bottles, and I don't think they'll fit in the bags without taking the sprayer off.

I took apart the thermostat on our old shop fridge tonight, it seemed like the only thing keeping me from turning it higher was a little plastic nub, I ground that off with a dremel and turned the knob another 1/4 turn or so and left a thermometer in it.  I hope that does the trick but I'll give it a day or so to see what the temp ends up being.

  2. Hey all,

My preferred spot for washing and detailing is at my trucking company's shop, Its a steel building with a nice wash bay in one corner.  Works great, but the issue is the building is not cooled at all, and only heated when we're there, so temperature in the building swings basically the same as outdoor in southern Illinois, as cold as zero on extreme days and highs of 100+.  Obviously that's not good for detailing chemicals, so currently I keep them at home and haul them back and forth constantly, which is a pain.

I've been trying to come up with a better solution, my first thought was an old refrigerator set on a higher than normal temp, but the 2 I've tested are only about 45-50 degrees on the warmest setting.  Is that too cold?  I also wondered about modifying the thermostat on a fridge to get 65-70 degree range, not sure if that's possible or not.  What temperature range is safe for most Adams products?  Does it really need to be room temp or are we just trying to avoid the extremes?

Anyone have any suggestions or better ideas than these?  I'm more concerned with finding a solution for summer, winter isn't as big of a deal since the nice cars are in storage and the daily drivers don't have to be washed that often.

    Thanks

    Paul

  3. They are about 3.75" in diameter. The 36oz Microfiber Revitalizer bottle fits with just a little extra room. The 16oz bottles definitely have wiggle room - but it is still functional. I like that it will accommodate different bottle sizes.

Hmm must be an optical illusion that makes them look smaller, thats the same as the bottle holder I have.  It works ok, but it just seems like a 3" hole would be better for the 16oz bottles.  The 32's fit great, hoping the Kwazar bottles will fit too.

I did order some brushes and foaming sprayers from you, glad to see those still available!

    Thanks

  4. I'd love to drive a Z28 but I'd rather OWN a ZL1.  I like having A/C and audio in my car.

If I was taking it to the track, though...

yeah same here, the Z28 definitely isn't for everyone.  I'd feel bad just driving it on the street, that car needs to be carving up a track every weekend or its going to waste.

I heard an interview with Al Oppenheiser a couple weeks ago where he said if you're looking at the specs of the new Z28 and find yourself wondering why the car doesn't have air conditioning or insulation in the floor, then this is not the car for you..

I hope they really pound that message and make sure people understand that this is a track car with a license plate bracket, otherwise I think they'll have a lot of disappointed customers.

  5. I do still offer the cart, bottle racks, and even the outlet assembly (the handle was designed for) - all separately on my website. In stock and ready to ship!

Could you measure the diameter of the holes on the bottle rack you're selling?  They look smaller than the one I bought elsewhere... that could be why mine doesn't work so well for 16oz bottles.  I'd gladly buy one if they're more suited to smaller bottles.  The one I have will probably work well with the new Kwazars.

    Thanks!

  6. I'm a brand new Adam's customer, but I agree with the others about items being taken off the site when they're out of stock rather than just showing out of stock.  It's kinda confusing when you see a youtube video showing off a great product, but then search the site and find nothing.

The option to go ahead and order even if its out of stock would be nice too, so you don't have to keep checking back and it will just ship whenever it comes in.

  7. Thanks for the welcome, this is a great forum, learning a ton here.

I just placed a order with Adams this morning, I basically ordered a small bottle of everything to try. Looking at the weather for next week, I hope it doesn't freeze in transit. I'm looking forward to some warmer temps to get this camaro shined up and enjoy some top down cruising.

Speaking of tops, does adams have a product for protecting the convertible top?

  8. Hey guys, I just joined the forum tonight.

We Just bought a slightly used 2011 Camaro last week, and Adam's seems to be the preferred brand of the folks at Camaro5 and GM, and I love their american made business model and youtube videos, so I think I'll be upgrading my car care collection with a big Adam's order soon.

Where should I start on this Camaro since I don't really know what product (if any) is currently on it?  Some sort of stripping wash to get all previous wax and stuff off of it?

    Thanks!

    Paul
