  1. Not to put all the blame on Adams, but Adams doesn't make the shipping rates. If ups charges 100 bucks to Canada and only 10-15 in the US for the same package, you can't expect Adams to eat the cost. I could see if maybe they did like half off shipping or something. If I didn't order and ship to the US I wouldn't be buying it plain and simple. You guys should consider www.showandshine.ca His name is Don and lives 10 minutes from me in windsor, ont. He's an Adams distributor and charges I think $10 flat shipping in Canada. It would probably be cheaper for you in the long run Mod edit: Fixed URL to .ca
  2. Luckily for me I live in windsor,on and im a long haul truckee so I ship my orders to my aunt's work in Detroit and pick them up on my way put on a run. Free shipping and no tax or duties lol
  3. It won't be free in guessing cause it's now bring shipped from the US. So now on top of tax your Going to pay out the *** for duty and brokerage. I like Adams but there stuff is already priced a bit high.add the extras we gotta pay as Canadians I'd go elsewhere.
  4. I'd let you try mine but I doubt your near windsor, ont
  5. Yes it has vibration.more then a sk not sure about a rupes. I'd say it's no heavier then the rest5-6 lbs I still have to do the finishing polish on a car this weekend and I may use the flex so I can use my 7 inch pads.maybe I can take a video so you can see how it will try to "walk" away on me
  6. It's just hard to control the flex.l due to the forced rotation and I'm not old either. You realky have to hold it in place and watch it around body lines. I do like it still only issue is the 5.5 pads Adams has don't fit on the backing plate and I wanted to use the heavy correcting compound so I used the sk. Rupes mark2 is probably one of if not the best machine out there. It's like just your technique. I didn't have the sk stall on me at all from what I remember. Maybe just not put so much pressure on it
  7. I have a flex and boy is it a chore lol just got the sk 15mm and mini sk and I never took the flex out once. Sk was very easy to use
  8. Pads were brand new. I was using the sk mini at speed 4-5. There's a whole bunch. I find I have this issue every time on bumpers, is it because the bumpers arnt metal like the rest of the car? Everything else I got near perfect. Hopefully the glaze will help full them in. Also I had a piece of the pad comeapart in the center of the pad, must have got something. Is no good now?
  9. No they don't. I've given up on them lol. I now i have to keep the car another weekend as I still need to do finishing polish plus seal glaze and wax.
  10. I cannot get these scratches out on the bumpers. I've tried heavy compound followed by correcting polish. What am I doing wrong?
  11. Also I've always had more trouble with bumpers. I can never get them corrected as well as the rest of car...
  12. I just walked around the corner of the house and did it. There's so much dust now on the car,it's going to take another day just to clean it off
  13. Thanks for the tips. Changing pads helped and never thought of running the polisher with the brush to clean them. I don't know how anyone gets this done in a day lol 2nd full day and I still have the rear bumper to correct plus do the whole thing again with finishing polish
  14. I'm using both but finding most of the dusting is from the correcting polish. Maybe I'll try a new pad
  15. I'm getting back at the polishing today and I'm getting tons of dusting and actual pieces of the pad coming apart? Am I pressing to hard? I'm using the new formula of correcting polish to
  16. Use www.showandshine.ca he's a good guy and an Adams distributor
  17. I get it's a premium sweater but 247? Plus we still got 13% tax on that. That puts it at 280. I buy from the US site now but I still cant access the site when I'm in canada
  18. Lol ya large doesn't fit many. I remember when I needed 4xl lol now I where large. How much are they on the american site?
  19. $247 for a hoodie on the Canadian site lol good luck selling those
  20. Looks pretty bright.ill consider those if these new leds aren't enough
  21. Ok perfect.if I need more I'm going to buy 4 of the overhead led shop lights from costco. I also a big 1500 watt halogen light stand
  22. I will try adding a bit more polish next time to start and see how that goes
  23. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00OSE7RFK/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1494952665&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=8+foot+led+tube&dpPl=1&dpID=513zWQvls7L&ref=plSrch Started with these. Didn't realize o could just add led in place of the halogen bulbs. I have 8 footers so hopefully these are an improvement.
  24. Seems the costco ones might be decent. Some have covers over the leds and some don't? Which would be better for detailing?
  25. Hey guys I'm looking at getting some hanging led shop lights. I only 2 8 door halogens now and there not bright enough. Any recommendations on which ones? I was looking at getting them on amazon. 4000k,5000k?
