  1. They're very versatile, mate. Dont be scared to try the waterless wash when your car is mildly dirty. My vinyl stripes on my Stang get dirty quicker than the rest of the car and I often spray them down with waterless and wipe them clean. No issues with scratching, as long as you follow the general rule of thumb....... wipe in one direction, lightly and let the towel do the work

  2. I only got the 12mm one in the hopes that the swirl killer 15mm would be come available, so having the smaller one will still be helpful with a smaller backing plate too. Are we getting the mini here as well?

In due time mate. I think its a matter of getting our plug style and voltage done on them. I have the Cyclo Polisher but Im considering getting the SK

  3. Hey Guys,

I did a quick search on here, but couldn't find a 'defined' answer for this. I have ordered my first polisher (12mm Shinemate DA, not Adam's as we don't have access to them here in Aus yet  :( - hint hint!) and it comes with a couple of pads. I have some Adam's 5" pads on order, and I was wondering if there is any special procedure for the very first time you use the pad. Do you have to prime them with anything before using them, or are they good to use straight out of the packaging? I know many people use a shot of detail spray or distilled water to help reactivate previous polish in the pad when they are in use, but no real instructions on the first time using the pads from brand new.

I have read about some 'other' brand pads needing to be primed and used lubricated for the first few passes to reduce the chance of pad and foam dust, and failing to do so can lead to a fair amount of dust and foam particles being thrown everywhere until the pad wears in. I would like to avoid this and also avoid causing any damage to my paintwork in the process - as I have never used a polisher before

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Joseph is about to put the Swirl Killers on the site in a matter of days. Take the shine mate back haha

  4. There is no escaping is there :-)

I mean if I'm going to put up some nice shots of the pony once clean I need to go and good gear for the cleaning right? well that's my excuse ;)

Absolutely. Joseph, the Aussie distributor is on 6G too. He is a fantastic detailer and is more than happy to answer your questions...... He has put up with mine for years now haha and has really made me a better detailer

  5. Hi there

So I have taken the plunge and am buying a 2017 GT Mustang (triple Yellow). I take delivery of my Pony car on 1 May. This is a fair step up for me in terms of cars (first time muscle car owner) and its a car for the next 10 years. It s a big deal in Australia as well as this is the first true Right Hand Drive version of the car that has been imported to Australia - so pretty excited.

So I am very keen to learn the skills necessary to keep her in the best possible condition inside and out.

    Cheers

    Paul

Hey! Get back on the 6G forums lol Welcome!, Im sure you will be happy with Adam's products

  6. That's going to shine up real good !!!!

Pay special attention to the taillights when you clean it up, don't want those Holden boyz to have to look at dirty taillights ;)

Yes, they dont realise their 6.2 litre has already been beaten by the little 5.0....... I just let them have their moment. Here are some daytime shots after a full Adam's bath and H2O G+G finish

  7. Thanks guys. Im loving my first American Muscle Car. The only drawback........ All the Chevy powered Holden boys wanting to race or try and show me their car is better. I guess boys will always be boys!

  8. USA would be even better if they would move Holden manufacturing over here!

Sadly the days of the Holden Commodore and the HSV ( Holden Special Vehicle ) are over. Aussie manufacturing ceases in 2017. Ford Aus also stops building the Falcon. 2 Aussie icons gone forever...... Sad times indeed. but Ford Aus have started bringing in the Mustang ( hope to get mine at the end of May ) and Holden is yet to disclose what they will be doing.

Rumours of Camaro and Corvette have been thrown around but neither are engineered to be right hand drive. I know the market would go crazy if they bought in either vehicle though. We are a country of Euro cars, Small Korean made cars and Mini SUV's at the moment, so Im glad some V8 muscle is being bought in with the Mustang to start with
