Yes marquez83, that's the plan: paint the old wheels and use them during winter, and use the new ones during the rest of the year.
However, I haven't decided yet if I should buy exactly the same OEM wheel set, which I do like, or an aftermarket Eagle Alloys (either model 056 or 186). The Eagle Alloys are cast polished aluminum, while the OEMs are part machined, part painted, with some apparently not so good clear coat on top of the machining. Any (probably subjective) opinions? Is it safe to assume both the OEM and the after market wheels will provide with good, safe performance? which of the two would be better for detailing purposes (i.e., which of the two would keep looking their best)?
LT1xL82: If I decide to go the OEM route, there's a couple of online distributors that sell GM OEM parts. Price per wheel is between $280 to $320, w/o hub caps and lugs
