  1. Thats what a garage is for ,cars not junk. Looks good!:glasses:

    Thanks!

Dang Brent, your garage looks like my house!

My garage is always more organized than my house!

Ya it has been a wreck for a long time. Now I don't have to pull a dukes of hazard getting in and out of my car

  2. Nice job! Always good to score points with the boss man.

Thanks, yes he asked me the other day about my detiling business on the side then when I told hi he said well, I'll let you off Friday to detail mine. I was a little uneasy at first, but once I saw he was pleased, I wasn't too worried.

    Nice work Brent! Beautiful reflections.

With a black car (or truck) there is no 'keeping' them looking good. Detail them and quickly take a picture, 'cause it ain't gonna look like that for long!

Thanks, in the sun though you can see some holograms. My mother wants to get a black BMW for her next car, and I told her last night, that I don't know if I could handle detailing it :D

That's the worst looking CTS that I've ever seen. But it's a gorgeous DTS. :jester:

Really nice work -- I'm not even sure I would have taken on a car that black and that large.

Ya little spelling error whoops :D

Wow, nice work. As long as the boss is happy...:banana::banana:

That's what is important. Time and experience will teach you what needs to be done with any given problem you encounter on the car... :2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

Thanks for the compliment and yes I just need to keep working on cars so that I can rack up some experience. I've learned how to do a ton over the past two years, but there's plenty more to learn from more eperience.

The car looks great! To take out holograms and whatnot you should probably just start with SHR!

Nice Dts. I am going to need to get myself some of that time machine polish. Maybe it will turn my truck into a new one. Just getting on you brent i do it all the time.

    Hahaha Thanks

I'd be thrilled too, looks great :rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon:

    Thanks for the compliment

i was gonna say its a dts..prolly a typing error though

    Ya it was

    Looks good to me :pc:

    Thanks

Nice work - black cars are a labor of love. The day I take the car out after a wash it needs to be washed again. It's the nature of the beast.

Like I said, it must take some serious dedication to do it. Of course though, you gotta keep the challenger looking clean :pc:

  3. Usually the drier sheet is spent after going through a dry cycle with my clothes so I'm sure you're OK.

I don't use woolite but I do use the FREE detergent. It's free of all the smells and other stuff...

    Chris

Good idea. You should be okay.

Thanks for the responses! Towels turned out fine from what I saw. Nevertheless, I'll be purchasing new ones soon.

  4. Detailed my boss' car today and let me say, I don't understand how people with black cars keep them looking good (Especially Dylan's SUV). I spent hours on his car and it did not come out as well as I had hoped. He was VERY pleased with it so I guess that's all that matters.

I clay barred, put some S&H where it was needed, time machine polished and did two coats of Americanna. I think I should have either done more passes with the white pad or moved up to the orange pad because I did not cut enough to remove several holograms. I was working in a garage and my halogen light went out on me so I didn't see these until I was done and by then the metal was too hot from the sun to work on it. I guess I just need more eperience with black vehicles. Oh well, I'm glad my boss was happy with it.

  5. Sorry for the delayed response, they are probably fine but I would have washed them again and dried them without a dryer sheet. But you are right there probably wasn't much of anything left on the dryer sheet. And I don't think it will completely ruin your MF towels anyways, but it would cause streaking, but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the advice, and I did wash and dry them overnight just to make sure. I'm just going to use them today, then I think I'll order some new ones just to be sure.

  6. ???

Not sure I understand the question ?

Well there was a used dryer sheet in the dryer when I did a load with my towels for wheels and stuff, then I unloaded that and loaded in my microfiber towels for polishing paintwork and ran it through on air dry. When I was unloading it, I noticed there was a dryer sheet all along in the dryer. The thing is it had been used in two dryer cycles so I was wondering if the towels are ruined or do you think all of the fabric softener stuff from the dryer sheet would be gone after two loads.

  7. Cool Vid

    Thanks!

Nice work! (and sweet, car, too!)

    Thanks for the compliment!

Great job and I love the rocking AC/DC tune.

What does your front hood badge have on it??

Ya, I was searching through Itunes and AC/DC seemed to fit the theme perfectly.

The hood badge is a Razorback with "Arkansas" below. I go to the university of Arkansas and am an avid Hogs fan.

    Very nice Brent :2thumbs:

    Thanks!

    Neat vid

    Thanks!

Nice montage. Love the music and the car.

    Thanks man!

cool video, lol at security car

I thought the security car would make a nice ending :jester:

  8. Mine is 10X20. Got it off E-bay for $220. Saw one I liked better for $240 right after I got this one.

hmmm, can't seem to find one like yours. That's gotta be really useful. My clients always want details in the mid afternoon when I have no shade to work with

  9. If that is the case i would start with some woolite(i am thinking this is what people have said to use) if it need more use the rubbing achol. But make sure to do the whole seat so there is not one clean spot on the whole seat.

Go to the drug store and get Isopropyl alcohol. Put some on a cotton ball and dab at it , then rub. Follow up with a good leather conditioner when you're done if you don't have any Adam's (which is the best).

Another vote for Leather & Interior cleaner!!

My wifes light gray leather seats are always streaked with blue from her dark jeans... Adams interior cleaner takes it off no problem every time.

But if shipping is the issue, start mild and work you way up... start with woolite and water as suggested, if that doesn't work do alcohol and water... DO NOT do straight alcohol... it'll dry out the leather excessively.

Thanks guys, I'll try these. I have Meguair's leather cleaner, but it's total crap. I fell like I'm just lubing up the seats. I may order this tonight. Money's tight because I just bought new wheels and tires.

  10. Did a wash, claybar, swirl and haze remover, polish, and a coat of americanna. Owner was very pleased with the results. VRT worked wonders on the trim
