  1. If it's an heirloom I would keep the whole thing and use it for storage. But that's just me ;-)
  2. Distilled or RODI water can be surprisingly good solvents. Thanks for the tips. I wondered if a slight base would help offset the acid in the bird crap?
  3. I found some bird dropping etching tonight on my NEW car. It occurs to me the best thing is to always be prepared to remove that stuff as quickly as possible. So this begs the question, what are the best things to carry in the car? Obviously you need to be prepared to remove the stuff without grinding in whatever dirt is already on the paint. And lets assume you can't count on a hose being available, but you can carry bottled water of course. Ideas?
  4. I find lots of discussion on Google on removing sticky wheel weight residue. What I don't seem to find at all is discussions on cleaning methods that are safe from weakening the adhesive. I prefer to have my weights remain attached until I change tires on my new Enkei wheels. I messaged Adam's tonight about their product. I have found in the past that most "good" caustic wheel cleaners are also pretty effective at damaging wheel weight adhesive. I'm just getting back into detailing since I have a black car again.
