Agree but I find myself suffering through a lot of the programming anyway since I love cars so much. I am liking Extra Gear and Chris Harris On Cars on BBC America as well.

Welcome! Where are you in NC? I'm in the Raleigh area.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a GM guy, particularly a LSx guy. With that said, my business, GST Auto Detail, will detail anything you got. I was actually pretty impressed with the new Mustang. This one was a 4 cylinder ecoboost model, but the interior on this thing was outstanding and ecstatically, I think the new Mustangs look better than the new Camaros. The paint on this car was near perfect, so I treated it with the Brilliant Glaze and Americana Wax. I prefer to us a "cleaner wax" on cars that have spider-webbing and marring, but there was none of that on this car. The owner was really impressed with how well it turned out. He even requested that I send him this picture below. Thanks again to Adams products for producing outstanding products that make my job so much easier.
Bite your tongue! I actually agree with you on the new Mustang. Checked one out at the dealer and felt the itch to trade my G8. Didn't happen though!

Installed and repaired land mobile communications, emergency lighting and high end stereo and mobile camera systems in specialty vehicle such as armored cars and limos. Favorite customer was the Prince of Saudi Arabia! (many years ago, no disclosure issues) Moved to field service, bench technician then System Operations for a cable company. Got laid off and worked installing in house alarm systems. Moved to Network Operations for another cable company and now work for a cellular/broadcast tower builder and leasing company supporting their Network Operations Center and project management.

I clean them every time I wash. Usually just soap and a scrub brush does the trick with a dressing after they are dry. They always look good to me with this process.

I've cleaned my applicators and tried using VRT again. It's just not meeting my expectations. I have 2 bottles if anyone is interested!

I've owned several black cars and feel your pain! Nothing looks better than a black car fully corrected and shining. Keeping it that way, as you know, is another story. I now have a white car and although its better at hiding imperfections you will see things like darker dirt and road spray you didn't see on a black car. I guess white is the lesser of two evils!

As I contemplate returning the 2 bottles of VRT I have, I see on the shop page in the description that VRT is water resistant and waterproof:
How do you make the industries best trim and tire dressing even better? You eliminate its only weakness by making it water repellent! This amazing new product will amaze you each time you use it.
That's right!! We've taken our extremely popular Vinyl, Rubber, and Tire dressing and eliminated the only complaint any of our customers ever had about it. Now instead of Adam's VRT Tire Trim Dressing washing away with the rain or coming off each time you clean your car the NEW Adam's Super VRT Tire & Trim Dressing actually BEADS AND REPELS WATER!!
Advances in polymer technology allowed us to keep the same amazing water based, low gloss, formula and make it water proof. The special additive allows the product to stand up to multiple washings, hundreds of miles of rain driving, and it even reduces surface tensions so much that water will literally roll right off of your trim and tires.
The bottle says it's "Water Resistant but not waterproof"
I have to admit this product has become one of the most frustrating and confusing things I have purchased in a while.

H2O Guard and Gloss then BG. If your gonna dry the car why not add some protection while your at it!
Edit; if you ask Adam, you can never use too much detail spray!
At the same time Adam admits that Detail Spay will build up and could eventually streak.

I have been using G&G for the last 6 months and have nothing but praise for it. Yes, it sprays out clumpy but you are buffing it in in a wet towel anyway. I have had some streaking on occasion and hitting it with detail spray takes care of that.
I am used to the results now and have sold several people on it. I remember my first time: how easy it was to apply, the feel of the slippery paint, the beading after application...........

Properties of RainX and the scent of Detail Spray. I would be in!

The product is only slightly water resistant, it's not water proof. As stated above, you probably had too much product on the areas it was applied to. I apply VRT with a Foam Block, then go back with an Edgeless Utility Towel to level, and knock down any excess product.
You state it bled onto the paint. Has it been rained on? Does it sit outside overnight, where dew settled on it into the morning hours? The rain/dew just messed with your freshly washed paint, it's done the same to the areas you'd applied the VRT to; that's what water does.
Go back over the vehicle with Adam's new Waterless Wash, or give her a Rinseless Wash bath and you should remove all the streaking making the car look like she was just washed again.
It was rained on about a day later and yes, she sits outside over night. I may have put too much on. I will be washing it again in the next day or so and will try VRT again but this time knock it down with a towel about 30 minutes after applying.
Seems like a fair amount of work when other dressings are available that are water proof and do not need to be knocked down after application. Always being fearful of the product running onto the paint with the introduction of moisture does not give me a warm a fuzzy either!

Washed my wife's car a few days ago and dressed all exterior trim with VRT. It rained a good 24-30 hours later and now there is a film under all of the treated trim. I wiped it in pretty well when applying and did not put it on too thick.
Should have had plenty of dry time and I'm quite disappointed on how it has come off the trim and bled onto the paint.
Before I contact Adams I want to make sure I am not missing a step. Any tips would be appreciated!
Thanks all...

Interesting thought. I have a few die casts and never thought of using Adams products on them. Time to give that detail spray a try!

I have to agree the best course of action at this point is to contact Adams directly.

Just yesterday I washed my wife's car when it was cloudy. Sun came out just before applying G&G. Sun was intense and I felt the surface getting quite hot. I worked fast and G&G had no ill effects on the paint. You said it's not helping but gotta say it anyway: The Detail Spray and G&G did not cause your issues. They may have EXPOSED the issues but did not CAUSE the issues.
Good luck!

As much as this stuff rocks I am going with trying it first before committing to a gallon. Hold off (I know it's difficult!) until you get your MB though. I have received several bottles in past MB's!

Hah... Been waiting for the first post about running over the hose slides. I love mine and use them every time I wash but it's just a matter of time before I run one over too. Thanks for being the first!
Glad I could help!

Directly from Adam in a previous thread:
Thanks Dan! Appreciate the posting which aided in clarifying. Although it was previously posted it's good to hear it again from the horses mouth!

Even if this has been discussed before it would be nice for Adams to chime in at this point.
