Wish I was closer!
-
Wish I had thought of this when I was recovering from walking pneumonia recently. Rainy day Adam's fix now for sure!
-
I would wash before and after the clay but other than that I agree with the order.

Smells like a woman's hair perm. Works like no other so I will deal with that! And yes, I have noticed when the driveway becomes wet several days later the cleaner gets reactivated and stinks all over again!

Don't give up guys. Once you find a process that works for you it will prove itself! Best stuff ever! Well, detail spray is pretty good too...
-
Would like to see the tire that caused this kind of damage!
-
I'll stick with glaze before the sealer. Makes the most sense to me. Glad you guys are seeing great results either way!

I use 1 towel to apply rotating and refolding as I go and rinsing once or twice throughout the whole process. I find myself using the same amount on each panel regardless of how much the application towel has product buildup. 2 or 3 towels for removal depending on how saturated they get.

Wheel cleaner would be the way to go. You could either use a wheel woolie or take the wheels off. Taking the wheels off is a pain but gives you the best access. I take mine off before a show to get to the calipers, rotors and the wheel barrels with ease.

10 mystery boxes is way too many. At that amount you are basically getting the entire Adam's line and then some, what is the mystery in that?
Then don't buy 10. How does someone purchasing 10 impact you in any way assuming you want only one?
Let's not forget the 'discount' that goes along with Mystery Boxes. This is one of several reasons I always buy 1 or 2 per round.

I find using glass cleaner after G&G will cause streaking. I use Detail Spray as a glass cleaner on the outside of the glass.

Had extremely bad luck with my black VW Jetta. It was in for service and I asked them not to wash it. It got washed anyway and had a crazy amount of swirl marks in it which did not exist prior. I complained and they ran it through a 'wax machine'. It was returned super glossy but the swirl marks remained.
I won't go any further since it frustrates me to think about it. What a nightmare!

G&G is an amazing product. Follow the advice above and don't give up! Once you get it right you will swear by it!
-
I also would do the G&G then blow out the cracks etc and clean up with detail spray.
Mainly because I believe there to be an element of risk as far as the dirt in the cracks that blows out with the water. I wouldn't want to spread that with the G&G and then buff some swirls right into the finish. Going back with DS gives a little protection (spritz with waterless wash would probably be ideal for handling the blown out water).
Never thought of residual dirt coming from blowing out the cracks, mirrors etc. Great advice! I'll be changing my process for sure!

Had my rear bumper cover repainted and was asked by the body shop to wait a good 90 days prior to adding any protection. My 90 days expired 2 weeks ago!

PPF. I recommend Expel.
Same thought posted about the same time. Great minds think alike!

I think some very good advice has already been put out there. I have had several black cars and the same rules apply:
Don't touch unless absolutely necessary
Use 2 bucket wash technique without question including rinsing the washmit with a hose OFTEN
Blow dry when possible. Use lubricant (detail spray) when you can't blow dry
Clean soft microfibers ONLY when touching the paint
Expect to perform paint correction often
I never did waterless or rinseless washes so cant speak on those.
Once the paint is where you want it you could always go with a ceramic or film coating to help with protection from swirls and marring.
GOOD LUCK!

If you are covering the rust with fender flares get some POR15. You paint it on and It will treat the rust in a way that it will not spread further. Just remember to get inside and outside or you will be wasting your time.
I have personally used POR15 on multiple rusty things and I am very satisfied with it.
