Those are Monster numbers and looks like you kill on 60 foot numbers by the way your ripping the fronts up, that's so awesome. Beautiful car Jeff.

One of these days I'd like to get down your way Frozen and see what our cars will run. Nothing like yours but hoping the Camaro will pull low 12's high 11's, not sure where the TA is going to be but mid 13's or better would be nice. Maybe we will meet up one day at the track, love to get some pointers.

Lmao @ Frozen, good one!!! I always just say it's the never ending detail like ground hogs day.

Thanks for the compliments guys, it's been a long year and a half but it's come a long ways. As far as black....... Ummm have a black Camaro and although it's sharp when it's clean, keeping it clean is next to impossible so no more black for this guy

Water spots?
JD_Alaska replied to JD_Alaska's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
@ chops, yes the spots can not be seen until dust settles out on the car. I've looked with lights at so many angles to try an see if I just missed those spots while I was compounding but can't seem to find them. Once the dust gets on the car they pop right back out or did -
Water spots?
JD_Alaska replied to JD_Alaska's question in General Detailing Discussion and Questions
The spots did come back with just a light dust off, I'll see what happens in a few days after a quick detail spray wipe off. Pretty strange, never had this happen before -
Just did some detailing on our 79 Trans Am ( clay, compound, Polish JD sealed, two coats 24hrs between each) and once some dust starts to settle on the car it looks like I have some water spots. Can't see them without the dust though? Any thoughts? I did just try some detail spray ( pumpkin spice) to see if it makes any difference in a few days. Sorry photos showed up upside down

Do u polish/correct rockers?
JD_Alaska replied to hemi1300's question in Paint Correction & Polishing
I have to get my wife to read this thread, she calls me some pretty colorful names when it's detail time on the vehicles because I take things to the extreme/ go over board. Yes if it has paint/clear its getting attention -
It's a great place to see for sure, many beautiful sites. Now that Bird of yours is one Awesome looking rideable!!!

@ Black Bow tie that's awesome, I'm sure they are more than happy to get out of this winter weather. You kinda get use to the cold but the darkness sucks.
-
@ Rich, I'm sure your Vett would be more than my toys could play with but it would still be fun

Here are a few pics of our TA. We have been updating it for the last year, had a 350 olds motor built for it ( had a 403 olds) new transmission, drive shaft checked and balanced new U joints, rear differantial rebuilt with 3.55:1 gears, B&M heavy duty aluminum cover, new sway bars, ladder bars, shocks, all new weather seals, drop shaker from blockers ( edelbrock performer Aluminum heads milled to get us 11:1 compression edelbrock performer rpm intake with edelbrock Thunder series 800cfm carb with electric choke) few little goodies in the motor just to give it a some pep, 3000 rpm stall. Working on fabricating up some parts for under the hood to wrap things up.

@ James well for the winter we drive a 2009 Silverado and my 2009 express 1ton van. For the summer we drive our 2013 Camaro and will have our 79 Trans Am back on the road as well. @ Rich no, but have had some fun with a few vetts in the Camaro and hope to have the same fun with them in the Trans Am

I 2nd Dans comments on the micro fiber pads. I've had great results using them and much faster than foam pads IMO.
