Thanks fellas.  Yeah I've had them not do the wash but those were quick visits ie a day.  This one they had her for a week and it just slipped my mind as I was wanting her back vs thinking they were gonna doodle.

Yeah just washed her this am and It sucks.  I'll be doing a finishing correction when it's not 110 out.  Just amazed how 1 wash kills it.  The good thing is I still love how the water runs with the metro vac still.   Have a good fathers day fellas!!

Paint Ceramic Coating will work fine on all hard plastic trim, but isn't recommended for rubber trim. Also, if this is your first time, give yourself more time than you think. Maybe move the wash up a day. You'll be wiped out by the end of the day/weekend, so have an adult beverage at the ready (assuming over 21!).

cool man.  Yeah im not doing the Trim CC, im doing a paint CC.  yeah ive got a similar plan but im actually gonna pull the wheels off and knock out the trim, then the next day take care of the wash, polish and possibly start the CC.

As you stated, even with a finishing/light polish, you are removing some clear/paint (depending upon paint-base/clear or single stage).  So, it's always wise to check your paint depth with a gauge if you have one available.

That being said, IMO, you are fine doing a light polish/finishing polish twice a year on your vehicle.  This polish and pad combo doesn't have a ton of cut, so again, my opinion is you are good to go!

    Keep it shiny!

Absolutely you can just do the bad spots, I would just wipe down the areas with alcohol, clay, polish and the Sealant or Wax.

I will often spot polish an area or two that gets scratched or scuffed in between full details.
