Yeah, the Brilliant Glaze is really nice to use whenever you take the car out to a meet/show/track event, etc.  I just went over my WS6 a couple nights ago with some polish and last night added the paint sealant and Brilliant Glaze.  Tonight, I'll put on the Americana Wax and then Saturday afternoon I'll apply another coat of Brilliant Glaze for the cruise night event.

  2. People will apply glaze first if the paint has imperfections in it.  For instance, they do a paint correction and even after the correction, there is still some light scratches/marring, etc.  In your case, it sounds like even after using some revive, there's going to be imperfections, so you could apply glaze first to help hide those imperfections and then apply paint sealant and top it off with a good wax.  If the vehicles paint is flawless, then applying paint sealant first, followed by a glaze, and then topping it off with a good wax.  I've never used glaze first; just my personal preference, but my vehicles paint is flawless and it's a show/drag car that doesn't see any inclement weather and is garaged at all times. 

  3. lately ive been washing, clay barring, then an application of brilliant glaze, followed by liquid paint sealant and topped with buttery..right or wrong, those steps seem to be gving me the best results.

     

    The liquid paint sealant should be used first, followed by brilliant glaze, and the last step would be the buttery wax.  Once that's all done, you can apply the brilliant glaze on top of the wax for an even deeper/reflective shine.  A lot of guys will put brilliant glaze on right before a car show. 

  4. Is this recommended or should I do it by hand?  I've always done it by hand, but am thinking using my DA would make the job easier and allow me to get a more uniformed coat on it.  I know I've read that you can apply Brilliant Glaze with a DA, but wasn't sure about Americana Wax.  If it's okay, what's the best way to get the wax on the pad?  I'd be using black waxing pads.  Thanks guys!

I've yet to try the Buttery Wax, as I've always used the Americana Wax, but based on the results you got, I think I need to give it a try.  I'm sure it's much easier to work with than the Americana Wax.  Honestly, the only reason I haven't bought/used the Buttery Wax is because I was under the assumption that Americana Wax provided a better/deeper shine.

I've used it in both my garage (cool conditions) and outside (hot conditions), and while it's easier to work with when it's cool, it can be done in the heat.  I would recommend using more detail spray to keep the area from getting too dry.  Also, when you're working in the extreme heat, the pad is going to heat up faster, so a lower setting could help, but also take a bit of time from body panel to body panel.  I have a smaller garage, so when I correct big trucks, they don't fit in the garage.  I try to start as early in the morning as possible to avoid peak temperature times.  Hope that helps.

  7. It is a "boost" so to speak for PS (but also for wax) and it beads water like crazy. I have the same order you have on my truck and I love it! Being a garage queen, your car probably doesn't NEED it, but it's also the process that we love so much!

     

    Thank you.  In addition, I have the Adams detail spray and the Adams waterless wash.  I've always used and love the detail spray, but have yet to try the waterless wash.  I figured since I don't get my car out a whole lot, and never in inclement weather, the waterless wash will be a good thing to have to use after I've driven the care a few times to freshen it up.

    Advanced Induction Dart/RHS 223cc CNC ported heads, custom cam, 1 7/8 long tube headers, Brian Tooley Racing valve-train, 44lb injectors, 3" Texas Speed true duals, Monster Stage 3 clutch w/ Tick hydraulics, MGW short throw shifter, 17/15" Race Star Dark Star wheels, Viking double adjustable coilovers on all four corners, etc.  The plan is to go Procharger at some point.

Here is my 02 WS6 I've dubbed "The Mongoose".  About 3 years ago, I did a full paint correction on here using the Adams Paint Correction Polish and Paint Finishing Polish (used the matching orange and white pads).  I followed it up using Adams Brilliant Glaze and Adams Americana Wax.  I absolutely love the color pop you get using those two products in conjunction.  Pewter is a hard color to make pop, but Adams products make it happen.

I had the chance to do a paint correction on my buddy's crazy twin turbo powered LSx Camaro.  Car makes something like 1,400 rwhp and hurts the feelings of anyone who wants to mess with it.  Anyway, he wanted me to get it looking good for one of the Streetcar Takeover events.  This was corrected using my trusty Harbor Freight DA, Adam's Paint Correction Polish (orange with microfiber pad), and then finished it off with Adams Brilliant Glaze and Adams Americana Wax.  The paint before the correction was in really bad shape, and there are areas on the car where the clear-coat is super thin, or not there at all.  Regardless, my buddy was thrilled with how well it turned out.  Adams products at their best and doing what they do best.

  11. Hey guys, new to the forum.  From Jefferson City, MO and run and operate my own detail business called GST Auto Detail.  It's a side business that keeps me plenty busy throughout the year.  I use the funds made to make my 2002 Trans Am WS6 looking good and running fast.  I'm a strong advocate for Adams products and use them daily.  Just wanted to check in and say hi.
