  1. Exactly why I posted this thread. To show folks who may be questioning why they would need to detail a brand new car.
  2. No clue how long it was on the lot. And the clay sounded like sand paper. Took me cleaning the clay 3-4 times before it finally quit picking stuff up. But after a thorough clay, machine polish, and wax, the paint is buttery smooth and soft.
  3. This is after 1 pass from my hood. Rest of the car was equally as bad.
  4. Got the microfibers in and damn. Definitely a huge difference from the parts store. I can't wait to use them.
  5. I just ordered the clay bar kit and the microfiber towel kit and a grit guard. Wont be in in time for my wife's car but it will be for mine!
  6. Got the kit in. I can't wait to use it! Plus a discount code for 15% off so it looks like I'll be buying some more stuff, you know, since it expires by September 16th.
  7. Used an eraser wheel on my old truck and didn't have any issue with the clear but it definitely messes with the finish and will require polishing afterwards.
  8. Well y'all convinced me. Just purchased the cyclo basic correction kit. Hope it gets here by this weekend.
  9. Hello, Been reading for a few weeks and thought I'd finally post. I've got a 2012 Ford Explorer that's gloss black and needs some tlc (I'll post pics later)and a 2016 Charger Scat Pack in gunmetal grey I want to maintain and this forum has been a great learning place. Still trying to decide between a Cyclo or Porter Cable and leaning towards the Cyclo but still not sure. I'm probably going to flip a coin tonight and just order one of the kits. Anyways, thanks for all of the help so far!
