  1. I showed him a picture in a different thread of C6Bill's truck. He was very impressed. If I could get the Charger or my T-Bird 1/2 as good, I'd be impressed myself.
  2. This is a post borrowed from a post from a Harley truck group. GLARE Professional Polish Uses new technology never before revealed to the Automotive, Motorcycle, Marine, and Aviation Industries. GLARE Professional Products never contain wax, resin, polymers, acrylic, Teflon nor is it a Silicone. GLARE Paint Sealant is not a simple glaze. Glassplexin, the active ingredient in our formulation, is a negatively charged silicate ionic compound which allows GLARE to bond to paint molecularly via a covalent chemical bond and transforms it into a 50/50 Glass/Paint Composition capable of filtering over 98% of the Sun's UVA and UVB rays. All other detailing products including waxes and polymers simply lay on top of the paint and stick in the same way tape sticks to gift wrap. These inferior and old formulations are also soft and resinous, prone to streaking and washing off after the first wash or rain, and do very little to protect the appearance of your investment from oxidation and fading from the elements. GLARE is the only detailing product with a Glassplexin formulation that bonds to the paint through this "unique to the auto, marine, and aviation detailing industry" type of chemical reaction. It is the Highest shine available, PERIOD. GLARE will not crack, discolor, fade, or peel. GLARE is also excellent for chrome, polished aluminum, Carbon Fiber, Glass, Fiberglass, Plexiglass, Plastic, reduces the Air Drag Coefficient, and is endorsed by HONDA Racing. GLARE is good up to 650 degrees F and down to -250 degrees F. You can treat motorcycle exhaust with GLARE and it will not burn off like conventional carnauba wax and polymers do. I will continue to use real waxes and explore some more products from Adam!!
  3. trying to get me to try product from a company called Glare. It seems that a lot of people really like this stuff. I was just wondering if anyone here has tried it, and what do you think of it?
  4. Tinting the windows on your Viper is entirely up to you. I think it would look great!! I have thought about tinting the windows on my Thunderbird many times. I keep going back to the logic, that I drive it around 1,000 a year and it's not worth it. The windows on our Charger and Ranger are tinted. Makes a big difference during the hot summers here in Oklahoma. The only drawback is it's hard to see out of at night. But both vehicles do look good with the tinted windows.
  5. Guess I deserved an answer like that. Good thing I calm mild mannered person or I'd have to you:lol:
  6. Ok, so the T-Bird sit more than it drives and I like the paint to have some shiny depth to it, the question is. Which wax would be better: The Americana or the Buttery? It's always garaged but not covered. This way when I want to get it out, I don't have to worry about the cover. I'm planning on taking it to our local car show next May.
  7. Sounds like a pretty good car. Mine is a true survivor. only 75,000 miles on it.
  8. It has the black cloth/vinyl Brougham interior. Complete with standard AM/8 Track player!!
  9. Thanks for the replies. I'm out of the Mequires detail spray, and don't have enough of Adam's spray to do my car. I'm going to order a gallon of it. I like my cars to have a deep shine to them, so I may order the Americana also and compare the to the buttery wax.
  10. I plan on ordering a gallon of the detail spray to get ready for the fall. I'll have three vehicles to get done before winter hits. I'm also going to try the Invisible Undercarriage Spray. I'm very courious to see how it works. I like what it did to the Suburban in Adam's video. Is there a difference between Adam's Detail Spray and Meguires Spray? Is there a difference between Adams All Purpose Cleaner and Simple Green? Do most of you have separate funnels for all the products, or just rinse one funnel after each use? Has anyone used the metal polish? How do you like it? Yes, the Thunderbird has a lot of brite-work. Is there a difference between the Buttery and Americana Waxes? Besides one is a liquid and one is a paste? Thanks for your patience. This is truly a new learning experience for me.
  11. Welcome!! I'm new here also and learning a lot.
  12. Thanks Bill. I'd love to get a PC, but it's out of reach right now. Watched the video, looks like swirl & Haze remover, Revive Polish followed by the Buttery wax. It will be done hand. Here are some pictures. http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3484&page=2 When I get it detailed (in a month or so) I'll create an album and post some more.
  13. My '69 Thunderbird. It's in need of a clay bar, so it's going to get that. Since it still has it's original paint, what do I need to do after the clay? I do know it will shine, just doesn't have the clear coat. I will be doing the detail by hand.
  14. Thanks for the info. I was going to try this, but just may hold out for a foamy gun instead.
  15. Is it possible to use one of those hose end sprayers as a foam gun? What is the difference?
  16. Now, That's some cool typing!! Welcome aboard Shawn!!
  17. Washed both the Ranger and the Charger this past weekend. After blowing the vehicles off with the leaf blower, I just needed one drying towel to finish it off. A little of Adam's detail spray and the silky smooth finish came right back. I'm very impressed.
  18. I was going to say the same thing:D
