  1. Used mine for the first time today. Defiantly worth the money.
  2. I think it might just be really bad orange peel. I'm wondering if correcting polish with my flex would smooth it out at all. I'm not gonna go through the time to wet sand it. Just wanna smooth it out a bit.
  3. Haha. I'd been wanting one for a while. Finally just gave in and bought one during a sell. Worked great. Way faster than chasing drips for hours.
  4. I washed, clayed, and went over it with fine polish the next weekend after I got it. I applied the old paint sealant to it when I was done. I think I might strip it down in a couple weeks and hit it with the correcting polish then fine polish to see of that helps.
  5. I wouldn't think it would have been repainted. Both sides are like that and I bought it right after the dealer got it. I bought it from a dealer about 15 miles from where it was assembled.
  6. So I finally got it cleaned up and had time to take some pictures. It's hard to get a picture showing the cloudiness. This is after h2o g&g and a coat of Americana. It is shiny but doesn't have the deep clear reflection other vehicles I've done have.
  7. I used your method with one difference. I sprayed and wiped down the whole truck. I didn't remove any of the g&g while I was doing this. Once it was applied to the whole truck I went around it with my sidekick, just got it yesterday so I had to try it out. I blew all the water out of the mirrors and everywhere else my truck holds water. Then I took a new wet microfiber and sprayed it a couple times with g&g and went over one panel at a time and dried it with a double soft. No streaks and looks great.
  8. Yeah. I usually go with VRT. I'll give the tire shine a try and see what I think.
  9. Nice. I only drive gravel when I go to my parents. They have a half mile gravel drive that's always pretty dusty. Trying to decide if I want to keep it or try trading it for something.
  10. I just got some tire shine in a mystery box. Does anyone have experience with this that has to drive on gravel? I know other tire shining products cause dust to stick to the tires really bad. Does Adam's tire shine cause this problem?
  11. Man that cleans up nice. I can't bring myself to get my RZR that clean, I wouldn't want to get it dirty again. I usually take my to the pay and spray to clean it on my way home if i'm not gonna drive it for a while.
  12. It's the new formula. I just got it Friday.
  13. I was in the shade. I was parked in the garage with the door closed. I used to leave the old sealant on over night and not have any problems.
  14. I did my wife's escape with it. I used 1/4 of the bottle at the most. It seemed to spread better for me on setting 2 than 3. I felt like it spread better once the pad was saturated in the sealant. How long do you let it sit on the vehicle before you wipe it off? I applied it then dressed the tires and cleaned the glass before I removed it. It sat on the paint for about 45 minutes after i was done. It was in the garage and it was about 75 degrees out.
  15. I think I might try doing it by hand next time. I wasn't having very good luck getting it to spread with my flex. It almost seamed like it didn't really coat the paint as much as it smeared. I used setting 2 on it but it looked like I had it turned too fast and was almost like it was baking it on. It was just really dried on when I tried taking it off. It was in the garage not in the sun.
  16. I tried detailing spray but it just streaked like crazy. I tried spraying it on the paint and then just misting a towel. Both ways streaked really bad.
  17. I used it for the first ti me today. I did a strip wash, clay bar, polish, wiped down with alcohol, then applied the sealant with my flex and gray pad. I had a really hard time getting the sealant off and it didn't spread very easily with the polisher. Might try applying it by hand next time.
  18. And that was washing it at night and drying it off inside my garage. It was about 55 degrees out. If it was day and warmer I'm sure it would have done the whole truck.
  19. I just got done using mine. Definitely an improvement over the great white. I have a 4 door pickup and I wish I would have ordered 2. I did my finish rinse with the sheeting method. I used a great white on my roof bedrails and the top of my back bumper. I used the new towel on everything else. It dries about 80% of the truck almost perfectly. The last 20 it was starting to get pretty streaky. I would say it works almost twice as good as the great white though. If you have a larger vehicle order 2.
  20. I have a flex polisher so I'll have to watch the heat. I'll be really careful on corners. It'll be about a month before I get the time to do a full detail. I used a white pad and fine machine polish without any issues. I also hit a couple places where there were scratches with an orange pad and some SIP and didn't have an issue, but they were just a few random spots.
  21. I'll try to get some pictures when it stops raining and I get time to wash it. I basically just wanted to document it with the dealer in case I have issues in the future. I'd prefer not to break the factory clear coat for now.
  22. It's the 3.5. It's a 2017 so it's got the new 2nd gen motor and 10 speed transmission. Coming from a GMC with a 6.2 it's a pretty impressive setup.
  23. It is both sides of the vehicle. I've also noticed quite a few spots where it appears that the surface may have been dirty when it was painted. There's little raised areas/nipples under the paint. I took it to the dealer and they took pictures and documented it in case the paint chips over those areas. I love the color just doesn't seem to be the best paint job. It was built in the Kansas City plant. Not sure if the ones you are looking at were built in a different plant. Here's a picture of it after a coating of Americana. You can't see the cloudiness from this angle though.
  24. I don't really have a good picture showing it. It's raining now so it'll be a bit before I can get a good one. It just doesn't have a real deep reflective look to it. Even after fine polishing and Americana.
  25. I bought a new lightning blue f150 a coiupole months ago. I noticed looking down the side of the truck the paint is kinda cloudy/hazed. I'm not sure if it's just the orange peel in the paint or what. I used a white polishing pad and fine polish on it. Didn't really seem to help. Would an orange pad and correcting polish make a difference or do some paint jobs just have this look to them?
