    You should get wheel locks on your tires.

     

    The vette wheels and tires cost approx. $2,000 each.

    Wow, $2k for each wheel? If they are ever stolen, you could buy a nice set of HRE's with tires for less money as a replacement!

    i dont put anything on the tires because a few people have told me that your tires will absorb tire shine and similar products into the rubber and make them slicker therefore resulting in my viper ending up in a tree

     

    I might believe this if you just finished detailing the car and the tires had tire shine all over the tread. You may incur some slip and slide in the first few miles, but this would quickly wear off.

     

    Adam's VRT comes off after driving through a good rain or from a light scrubbing with soap and water. I don't think it is strong enough to bond with or penetrate your tires though.

     

    I think most vipers end up in trees due to driver inexperience (mainly from the lack of ABS or traction control) instead of detail products used.

    Whoooa! I'd hold off on that stuff, and try a little rubbing alcohol on a mf towel. Do a very small are first, then continue.

    Adam,

     

    You would be amazed at what the scrubbing bubbles will take care of. I have used this stuff for 15 years and it has never failed me, even on the toughest stains.

    My friend got black ink on his new black cloth seats. I haven't seen it yet but even though it's black on black I'm sure it still stands out like a sore thumb. Is there anyway to get this out? If it's anything like what I've been reading about the leather it seems there may be little hope. :xfingers:

    As with anything try a small area first (even though I have never had any trouble with the DOW scrubbing bubbles removing the color from interior surfaces)

    The Dow bathroom cleaner with scrubbing bubbles works wonders on carpet, seats, etc.

     

    Slightly dampen the area that needs cleaning with water

    Spray area with scrubbing bubbles and let it sit for about a minute

    Use a soft bristled brush to scrub the area and then use a soft towel to dry

    I have to say I was a bit skeptical about the green wheel cleaner since I have been using Eagle One A-Z all finish wheel cleaner for about the past 15 years with nothing else coming close.

     

    After watching the video about the Powerstick I thought I would order one and give it a try to go along with my new green wheel cleaner and boar's hair wheel brush.

     

    I tried all three new products over the weekend and I am nothing short of blown away by how much time and effort these new products saved me.

     

    No more cutting my hands trying to clean the inside of the wheels or having irritated skin (or burning if you get some cleaner in a cut!) from a harsh cleaner :2thumbs:

     

    I also really like the boar's hair brush. It does a good job of getting in the crevices and wheel lug area :rockon:

     

    I would estimate that I cut my wheel/tire cleaning time by 50%
