  1. Thanks guys! I drove her today to get a tag. Hopefully my exhaust tips will be done soon. Love this forum and all the support (both moral and informative) it provides!!
  2. Oops forgot to mention the tailpipes are off bc I sent them to get powder coated gloss black. Ordered new gloss black “PORSCHE” letters, clear tail lights, clear third brake light, and black rear bumper reflectors
  3. OK so I was being totally OCD. The car is probably about 95% perfect. Those LED lights definitely show more than natural light does. Anyways, here are some pics of the final products. Sorry for the pressure washer and master blaster in the pics. I was just super excited on how great it turned out and wanted pics right away.
  4. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Makes me feel better. Obviously I want it to be perfect but also don’t want to mess anything up by getting too aggressive. I do have some HCC. I could make a pass with that. Tlbullet - yes it’s a turbo. After I get it finished, I will report back with more pics 2012srt8 - I have tried CC with a microfiber pad. It’s 90% better than what i started however to finish that last little bit, I didn’t know how far I should go or what to do.
  5. lol I’m so critical of myself that I don’t want to think I was a slack *** and didn’t get it perfect
  6. Then would you say that this is good enough for ceramic coating?
  7. The first pic is with my work light up close and second pic is the same without light bar. My wife says no one will hold a light saber against the paint, but I can’t leave it alone
  8. I started a detail on my new to me 911. The plan was to ceramic coat, however, I can’t seem to get it perfect and was wondering if it was me or I’m doing something wrong. I’ve microfiber pad and correcting polish. Orange pad and polish. White pad and finishing polish.
  9. Thanks man. I’m not sure why I’m stressing it. Might just be bc it’s a little harder to reverse once applied? Maybe bc the car is new and would feel guilty if it came across half ***? Who knows.
  10. Been a little while since I posted last, but I finally decided to purchase some ceramic coating and give it a shot. A little nervous because I’m overly anal retentive and would be livid if I had even the tiniest hint of a swirl trapped beneath the coating. Car is a 2017 Z06 (seems to be a lot of those around here lately) with under 100 miles. Will post pics of before and after at a later date. Anyone got any tips, besides the normal stuff I’ve read on the forums, chime in. Thanks guys!
  11. I'm no expert by any means. I'm sure some of the more knowledgeable members will chime in. However, I wouldn't drive the vehicle without any layer of sealant or wax on it. I would simply take the area I was working on to completion. And on the next session, do the same for the remainder. Again, I'm not expert but that's my two cents. Good luck!
  12. Roll Tide!! Finally got off the season ticket waiting list after 9 years!!!!
  13. If you buy a new Corvette from Mike Furman at Criswell, he gives you an Adam's kit
  14. I have the competitor's DA; however, I have a mini swirl killer for small spaces. Once my larger machine dies, I will get Adam's swirl killer
  15. I used the microfiber pad with correcting compound, then the pink pad with correcting compound, finishing compound, sealant, and buttery wax. It's a 2500, so I would do a little at a time over the course of a week.
  16. Been lurking for a while now, and figured I'd go ahead and do my introduction. I switched to Adam's products over a year ago. I really fell in love after I detailed my truck. Granted it still has a few light scratches, but I still use it as a truck. It's not my daily, and the only time I drive is to haul things. Here's a couple before and after pics of the driver's door panel. Looking forward to more great advice and tips from all the forum members.
