    As for the breaker I turned both motors on right away and was fine for at least 15 minutes before it happened. No extension cord used or any lights on in the garage. I'll try again next and hope it was an isolated incident. 

    Screw it back on using correct rotation then apply a couple wraps of 100 PPHr tape and you'll be golden!

  2. Maybe I did something wrong but I noticed when you go to "Preview" mode it didn't really preview (looked like original link) and you could not make changes to text.

  4. Wiped it down with alcohol and broke out the Adam's seal. For this car a applied the sealant with a microfiber square sponge thing. My thinking was that with winter coming up i wanted to lay a thick layer of sealant down. Not sure if im wrong about this as it seems like what sticks might be the same if done with machine or by hand. 

     

    Then glazed, always impressed with the Adam's glaze, goes on easy and super easy to buff off and looks awesome. 

     

    Finished off with some extra seal/carabuna wax. 

     

    6 hours and a sore back but i think it was worth it

  5. Not on website in a week until this morning and I saw these...all show sold out. Where they super limited, super hot or just coming soon?

     

    Might have gotten a hoodie for working in the shop and always looking to add a sticker or two to detail cart.

     

    The shoe cleaner looks to be a another diversion from core auto detailing products or maybe reformulated and repackaged foaming leather cleaner. R

    The answer to your question is, "It depends." 

     

    Too many variables to provide an answer with any finality, but almost any removal of orange peel will require wet sanding. Removal of orange peel is usually limited to show cars because it's laborious, time-consuming, and reduces the thickness of your clear coat or single-stage paint. How much, you ask? There is no way to definitively answer this without a paint gauge.

     

    Adams sells the products to restore the shine to the paint once properly wet-sanded. But the sandpaper and elbow grease are up to you. 

     

    If you're interested in learning, go buy a hood from a junk yard and practice. It's the best way to learn.

     

     

    Nothing from adams will remove orange peel safely. Wet sanding will remove microns of the already thin clear coat and will severely lower the life of the clear coat. 

     

    Of course there are hundreds of how to videos, but none of them actually measure the thickness of the clear before and after the orange peel is "fixed". So they only "look" good, but they drastically reduced the life of the clear coat. 

     

    The best way to remove it, is having a shop wet sand it and reapply clear coat the proper way so that the orange peel doesnt show up again. 

  7. As thread title states I am wondering if a factory painted car with orange peel in the clearcoat be corrected by me at home using Adams line of products. I would like to see the paint be taken to ultimate level of perfection over the winter if possible.

     

    I am a rookie detailer with internet OJT training and then practical application. I am not afraid to attempt but can I, should I or is professional wet sanding the safest albeit more expensive way?

     

    In either scenario would it be preferable for stripes to be removed to insure the clearcoat is even over the entire car?

  8. Been paying to have vehicle detailed for many many years. After I purchased a GT350 I wanted to learn to detail it myself like a pro. I am very detail oriented and research interests to death before jumping in.

     

    I started watching detailing videos from Chemical Guys, Obsessed Garage and found a very informative yet not verbose guy Adam in the process. I learned alot from watching his videos and was equally entertained, not bored.

     

    Then I researched his products thru interweb or blog reviews and watched even more videos. Lastly I learned GM adopted some of his products to be sold thru there dealer network.

     

    I dabled in the Mystery Bucket  game for some vaule based gamble then filled in the gaps with everything else...literally!  A few bumps and mishaps arose along the way but the caring employees at Adams have helped immensely (Thank you Dan) and sealed the deal to making me a loyal "Customer for Life!"
