  1. Saw some middle-aged lady rolling around in a newer model Porsche 911 Turbo... stared and admired the car for a minute... looked up at the lady and she smirked at me as the light turned green and she took off... and then I saw her plate.... "WAS HIS". Laughed my *** off! That's just SO wrong!! LOL :burnout::burnout:
  2. By far, the ABSOLUTE WORST car "care" product I've ever bought!!! http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4628 :mad::mad::mad:
  3. LOL... Americaca??? ... sorry, I know, I'm too easily amused. Great looking car though
  4. Should I use them at the same speed as the normal pads? It kind of seems like these spot pads are a little harder to handle. They tend do dance around a bit more if you don't stay absolutely flat against the surface of the car. Oh, and one more thing. What are the yellow pads supposed to be used with?
  5. Yup, it really took it OFF! When I first saw what was happening i couldn't believe it either. So I rinsed, and rinsed, and rinsed, but it was still there. Finally, I got down on my hands and knees for a closer inspection and tried rubbing it off with my fingers. Instead of the black coming off, more of the silver came off. That's when I realized the black was actually the primer for the silver paint. The worst damage was in the holes for the lugs. If you look closely at the pictures you can actually see how the paint was just oozing out.
  6. I just got my 4" Spot Pads kit. These little things are kinda cute! Have a question though... Am I supposed to be using a different counterweight on my PC when I use these?
  7. Aww, that's exactly what I was planning on getting. A PC for one of my friends and a foam gun for myself. I'll probably be getting them either way though, sale or no sale. :pc:Definitely gotta pick up some of that Americana. I want to see what all the hype is about.
  8. Hey Shane, I sent those pics to your email so you can take a look at them.
  9. Looking forward to the clinic. I was actually supposed to be working that day, but I traded shifts with one of my coworkers to be able to make it. LOL. So EVERYTHING is going to be 25% off??
  10. At least one good thing came out of it... it gave me a chance to see what my rims look like refinished in a different color
  11. Actually, the black that you're seeing isn't something that's on top of the surface... it's the primer UNDER the surface. The silver just rinsed off. Apparently, Turtle Wax ICE is a highly acidic based wheel cleaner.
  12. Turtle Wax "ICE" wheel and tire cleaner... left to sit on surface for 2 MINUTES. Sprayed it on, got a phone call, hung up the phone, grabbed the hose.... and sprayed the paint off of my rims. Needless to say, I'll be ordering APC and GWC A.S.A.P.!!!
  13. So if it's mounted on a drill, I assume I should be handling it like I would a rotary polisher, right? Since it won't have the orbital action, like the PC does, am I still supposed to be moving slowly?
  14. Thanks Junkman! Do these things actually mount up on my 7424? Or do they attach to the front of a drill?
  15. I have a bunch of scratches right around the outside door handles. What's the best way to polish in the recessed area of the door handles? Trying to do it by hand doesn't seem to be working to get the scratches out and there's no way i can get my PC's pad in there.
  16. THANK YOU! Putting in my order as soon as I finish typing this. If you've ever tried to get something out from in between the seats of an Infiniti G35 coupe you'd know how hard it is and how much it HURTS.
  17. When do you guys consider your polishing pads too worn out to use? How much use should I expect to get out of my pads?
  18. Strange question... Can a door "ding" get worse over time? I have a small dent on one of my rear quarter panels that I haven't gotten taken care of yet. It's one of those annoying little dents you get when somebody opens their door into you. (I know, we all HATE em!) Anyways, everytime I look at it, it seems like it's getting worse. Is it my imagination or is it actually possible?
  19. I was just wondering the exact same thing about 5 minutes ago when I got finished drying my car. (Just sat down to take a break before I hit the car with the DS and I thought I'd check out the forum ). I havent gotten to order one of Adam's MF towels yet so I've been using my "Absorber". It seems to do a good job of picking up water, but I'm not too comfortable with dragging it across the paint because it seems to want to stick. Kinda anxious to hear what the pros think about it.
  20. What was that??? LOL. I want my 0:51 seconds of time back!
  21. Of all the tutorial videos I've watched online, write-ups I've read about details that were performed, and "before & after" pictures I've seen, I don't think I've ever seen anybody mention anything about cleaning the headliner. I have a light tan colored headliner (willow). I drive around with my windows down most of the time and the headliner is starting to build up dirt mostly where the wind blows in. Any tips on getting it cleaned up without ruining my headliner?
