I actually purchased one in the hopes that I'd be able to install it myself. I mean, it seemed simple enough... peel, stick, line up, blow dry, finished. I couldn't have been more wrong! 5 hours later, with sore arms, covered in stickiness from the adhesive, and gritting my teeth in frustration, I stepped back to admire my work.... and ripped that wrinkled, misaligned, sad attempt at a clear bra off of my car.

I still want one, but I think I'll spend the money for a pro to do it.

Why does Adam's Machine Superwax HAVE to be applied with a D/A polisher? Is there a negative effect if it's applied by hand with an applicator?

Thanks for all the quick responses guys! For now, I guess I gotta try to ignore it until its time for a new paint job. (or I get the courage to actually try and wetsand it myself )

Which one of Adam's Polishes and pad combination would you recommend to remove "orange peel" on a factory paintjob? How difficult is it? Is there a significant risk of damaging my paintjob?
