  1. Check this thread out. The peanut butter trick absolutely worked wonders for me. http://www.adamsforums.com/topic/26468-polish-stain-removal/
  2. Yup, at York Ford Thanks! Yes it is, will do, and thanks!!
  3. ^This^ I'd like to take advantage of the memorial day sale, but it doesn't look like it'll be back by then
  4. LOL! I actually used Skippy "Reduced Fat" peanut butter, but I would imagine any would work.
  5. Yup, the tooth brush finished off the rest. I can't believe how well that worked, I would of never thought of that in a million years!
  6. Here's the picture as promised. Here is the "BEFORE:" And here is after 1 application of peanut butter, rubbed gently on the area with my finger, then wiped off:
  7. I'd love the opportunity to try this wax. I wish they would make it again.
  8. The garage will be emptied out by the fall. That garage is gonna be my Shelby's home for the winter. Yes, that is in the plans. The ceilings are high and is already full of useless crap lol. I'll be getting a shed within the next few months. I will be cleaning out the garage, but even with the garage empty, it's a very tight space to work it. It's a single car garage and when one car is in there, you have to side step with your back against the wall to get on the sides of the car. There hasn't been a car in there for years.
  9. Lol, I could hardly believe it either. It started raining shortly after I applied the PB, and tomorrow is gonna be a washout. I'll post pictures as soon as the sun breaks out
  10. Do those really block out enough sun to keep the surfaces "cool to the touch" like recommended? If so, I'm all for it as long as it doesn't cost thousands.
  11. Just wanted to say I tried the peanut butter and it is no myth. I can't believe how well it worked. I put a little on my finger and gently massaged it onto the the spots with the white stain, then wiped it off and it's GREATLY reduced! It's still there very lightly, but it's about 80% gone. One more peanut butter treatment and it'll probably be gone! Very cool little trick! The all purpose cleaner did work also, just took a bit more scrubbing. I used the all purpose cleaner after the peanut butter to make sure all the peanut butter was removed. Peanut butter and all purpose cleaner seems like a killer combo to remove wax residue/stains on plastic trim! Lol
  12. I have been washing and detailing my own car for several years now. It is a ton of work and I have been combating the elements when detailing for years and I'm getting tired of having to deal with "nature" as I detail. It's enough work as it is without having to fight the sunlight, pollen etc. I have a garage but it's packed with crap and there's no room for a car. Even if there was, the garage itself is too small to be able to maneuver around the car to get the work done. My whole driveway get's blasted with the blistering sunlight all day long except for the top of the driveway which is under 2 trees. When I'm under those 2 trees, my car get's covered in leaves, pedals and pollen in a matter of minutes while I'm trying to clean the car, which is quite frustrating. So my question is for those of you that have similar conditions to mine to work with. What are you doing to deal with these challenges when detailing your car? I have extremely close neighbors also, so setting up a bunch of lights and detailing after sunset isn't an option.
  13. I didn't since it was mostly towels and applicators. If they took something expensive like my flex orbital, there would be hell to pay. I would like to find who did it and teach them a lesson. That's not a bad idea. I hope nobody sees me walking around sniffing peoples cars LMAO! It definitely was. It's a stupid thing a kid would do. An adult probably would of tried to get into the garage and take the valuables lol. I hope this kid learns and grows up before it's too late and he ends up in some real trouble with something much more serious.
  14. I always did. This stain was on the car when I bought it so there was nothing I could of done as far as prevention.
  15. I know, I was PISSED! I went inside for maybe a half hour. Definitely some little punk kid. I live in a very good neighborhood to, this type of thing is very rare around here. I had just bought those double plush towels to and was loving them. And yes JHL88, parents let their kids do whatever they want these days, no manners and no respect for anyone or anything. They all think they're better than everyone else.
  16. Thanks guys, I'll try the both. I tried all purpose cleaner already, but I'll try it again. The peanut butter idea is interesting!!! I'll give that a try as well. As long as it doesn't damage anything, I have no problem trying it, I have plenty of peanut butter lol
  17. I don't think it's from the heat, it's only on this one side. I tried some all purpose and it lessened it, but didn't completely remove it.
  18. Just thought some of you guys might get a kick out of this little story, even though I was fuming. I was washing and waxing my car yesterday before a car show, and decided to take a break and eat some dinner. I had the car in back of my driveway and Adams all purpose cleaner, detail spray, a bunch of applicators and 3 double plush towels in a small box next to my car. When I came back out to finish up, the box was missing. Some punk came by, grabbed my box of applicators, towels and detail spray etc and took off! Thank GOD he didn't go into the garage where I have the Americana wax and Flex orbital. If he would of swiped the expensive stuff, I would of lost it completely. So basically, keep an eye on your Adams stuff at all times, everybody wants to get their grubby hands on it I notice.
  19. After I finished washing my car, I noticed the rear plastic diffusor has what looks like a wax or polish stain/residue on it. I tried a few things to get it out with no luck, including V.R.T which just masked it, it didn't really remove it. This was there when I bought the car so I don't know EXACTLY what made it, but it looks like polish/wax. Any tips on getting this stain out?
  20. I have a 2014 GT500 and the same thing happened to me. I only used it on the hood/front bumper section of stripes. It looked good when I applied it. Then it rained, washed it all away and made the whole hood, front bumper area look like it was covered in residue. I had to wash the car again thoroughly. I think I'll use the brilliant glaze for the stripes from now on as well.
  21. Thanks! That's okay, I'm biased towards black cars myself
  22. Here are the pictures, as promised!!! :D : D Basically, I drove 230 miles to the dealership in this…. And drove home in this!!! Here's a lousy pic my mother took of me and the salesman who was AWESOME throughout the whole long ordeal And Here's a picture of me and my mother that Jim (salesman) took And here are a few extras after the 230 mile trip home
  23. Thank you! I will certainly be posting pictures once I pick up the car!
  24. Yup, I'll be on I-95 for sure! Already made the trip once to show them the trade in. I don't mind the distance, but any more than this with a new car, I would of probably shipped it. Not because I don't want to drive it, I just don't want to break it in all in one shot with all highway miles.
