  1. Hello; A nice woman at work approached me asking about the detailing products I use on my car. I told her of the success I have had with the Adams line of detailing products. Marta told me about her newer ride a Ford Taurus with the T9 Black Pearl Slate Metallic paint. I took a look at her car and have to say, I love this color. Marta is having a problem getting a good clear wax that makes the pearl coat as nice as it was when it was new. She told me that many of the waxes she has tried turn the pearl coat almost cloudy to where you cant even tell it is there. Problems with water streaks after a car wash are also an issue for Marta. I am not sure of the waxes she has been using, but I bet they are a store bought off the shelf product. I am not sure what to recommend to Marta, but I am sure Adams has the product that will fix the issues that are causing her headaches. Can anyone here help us out with what steps she should take and the best way to get her showroom shine back?
  2. Hey Thanks for the replies ..... After reading I am sure I am dealing with SEVERE etching (A BIG THANKS to Dylan for the "water spots" write up ). I have seen this car at shows before, and the paint was no where near this bad. When I picked the car up, the owner told me that his wife and housekeeper moved the car into the drive to clean the garage, and that is when it got rained on . We have had several "Air Quality Alert" days here this summer, so there is no telling what actually did the harm to the finish. This is my favorite of the Corvettes that this guy owns, it is a shame I could not get it in my garage last month. The paint has only been like this for what I think is a couple of weeks max. It is too bad I don't know how to wet sand, I could earn a couple of extra bucks.
  3. Hello Forum Members.... Been detailing cars for a couple years now, working hard trying to do a good job. I feel that Adams products and videos were a huge help in getting me started in the right direction. Yesterday I picked up a 1970 Stingray to do a total detail job on. This car had been left out in the rain, so it had water spots that had set in the dust that was already on the car, no big deal..... Well I was wrong, and in a big way. After a good bath, nice dry, I proceeded to clay bar as always. I hit a spot with the P/C to see how the paint was gonna act, and it is being a pain in my neck. The water spots will not budge, I went from Adams Severe Swirl Remover to a Meguiars 105 Ultra-Cut Compound while using the Gen 2 Green Pad on my P/C. I have attached a couple pics I took with my phone (sorry bout quality) The first pic is just wash and clay bar, no other work. The second picture is after hitting an area with the two products I mentioned earlier, for a total of 3 passes. First pass with Adam's Green, second and third pass with Meguiars 105 Ultra-Cut. Is there anyone that can help me out? Like always I want to do the best job I can, hate to tell this guy his paint is a "lost cause".....
