Hello Forum Members....
Been detailing cars for a couple years now, working hard trying to do a good job. I feel that Adams products and videos were a huge help in getting me started in the right direction.
Yesterday I picked up a 1970 Stingray to do a total detail job on. This car had been left out in the rain, so it had water spots that had set in the dust that was already on the car, no big deal..... Well I was wrong, and in a big way. After a good bath, nice dry, I proceeded to clay bar as always. I hit a spot with the P/C to see how the paint was gonna act, and it is being a pain in my neck. The water spots will not budge, I went from Adams Severe Swirl Remover to a Meguiars 105 Ultra-Cut Compound while using the Gen 2 Green Pad on my P/C. I have attached a couple pics I took with my phone (sorry bout quality) The first pic is just wash and clay bar, no other work. The second picture is after hitting an area with the two products I mentioned earlier, for a total of 3 passes. First pass with Adam's Green, second and third pass with Meguiars 105 Ultra-Cut.
Is there anyone that can help me out? Like always I want to do the best job I can, hate to tell this guy his paint is a "lost cause".....
