  1. I don't have any vinyl stripes, but that was a very good video. I thought AJ had the "comin' atcha" line trademarked though.
  2. I found it online after I saw a picture and Googled it: Oreo Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies
  3. Has nothing to do with cars or detailing, but today I decided to try baking and came up with Oreo stuffed chocolate chip cookies.
  4. I can only imagine what was going through that guy's mind when you opened them at that stoplight. Probably something like this:
  5. Yeah, it does sound sweet. Makes my car seem real tame.
  6. An idle video was posted in another thread:
  7. I think we all knew that was coming. Either that or another donut joke. Congrats on the promotion though. Hopefully it'll help you be able to keep the Camaro.
  8. It survived this last winter. It maybe had 4-5" of heavy, wet snow on it at one point, but I always tried to knock the snow off before things got questionable. Since the roof isn't rigid like a permanent structure, it's easy to just go inside and push up on it which causes the snow to fall off.
  9. Threadjacked Maybe, it's 12 ft wide. Your driveway looks like it'd be close. Not at the same time. If you're talking a either-or situation, a G8 obviously fits and I've had a Suburban in it temporarily so the Edge should be fine. Not sure. Mine's nowhere near the neighbor's yard so it wasn't an issue. Probably important for you to find out first though. One side and the back are anchored with these on mine: but the side on the pavement has lag bolts drilled down through the asphalt. Depends on if you want the shelter just to keep it out of the sun while working on it, or to keep it clean after you've washed it… I use it for the latter. Here's a few cell phone pics I snapped back when I put mine up for reference. I've tweaked it a little since.
  10. I'd had my eye on them and saw it on sale for about $300 through Northern Tool and jumped all over it. Shipping was another $100 though (it weighed like 180 lbs). Now it's back up to $400 before shipping costs: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200148624_200148624 It's definitely worth it though, especially now during pollen season.
  11. We finally had nice day here so I gave the G8 a much needed bath. Here it is now:
  12. You'll like the Race Ramps. I bought the 67" 2-piece ramps and the roll ups for my car and don't regret getting them one bit.
  13. American Racing aluminum rims badly oxidized from years of neglect. Before: Process involved Metal Polish #1 used with 4" focus pads on a drill, followed by hand application of Metal Polish #1 and then Metal Polish #2 with a microfiber applicator. Finally sealed with Machine SuperWax applied with a hand applicator. After: For more on this process, check this thread: http://www.adamsforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11274
  14. Anyone else find this slightly ironic? You harp relentlessly on Jon (jdenotter) about eating donuts and such, just because he's a cop, yet you're the one admitting to wolfing down the Boston Kremes.
  15. Today after some work around the house, I installed billet strut tower covers and an oil catch can on my car. Then when I was done with that I gave it a bath. Before: After:
  16. Careful, AJ has a bunch of those little guys with bats and doesn't seem afraid to use them.
  17. LDM

    Garage pictures.

Umm... that's not his garage. What don't you want?
  18. I thought Earth Day was yesterday? Never too late to celebrate though.
  19. Today I got the title to my G8 in the mail. Now it's all mine!
  20. I paid just under $500 for two 67" ramps, the two roll-ups and some wheel chocks. I can get under my G8 now, no issues of scraping despite the low ride height, and if I'm only going to be working under one end, I don't even need to bring out the jack. They are a lot of money compared to other ramps, but I'd rather pay that once then get something that doesn't work optimally. When it comes to cars or tools, I don't go cheap; I try to save money elsewhere. Just think of the Race Ramps like Adam's and the Rhinos like your old detail supplies...
  21. $137.70 with free shipping from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Race-Ramps-RR-RU-Roll-Up-Ramp/dp/B003WT2WGQ
  22. They're Race Ramps Roll-Ups http://www.raceramps.com/roll-ups.aspx I have the big ramps too, which is how I had the front up. They aren't the cheapest ramps, but they are great quality and made in the USA. I got them through Amazon and they were a little cheaper.
  23. Today I decided to finally fix my exhaust tips, which I think got shifted out of place back when I installed my headers. They weren't that bad and I don't think anyone else ever even noticed, but the gaps around the diffuser opening were just driving me crazy. Here's what they looked like before: After much tweaking, I finally got them tucked the way I wanted like this: While I was down there, I noticed that the mufflers were kinda dull: So I broke out some Adam's Metal Polish and this happened: I made the tips shiny too: The whole time it kept killing me how dirty the car was, so when I got done I gave her a bath. Now it's all clean.
