Don't know the details re: a detail clinic at ZIP. If such is in the planning, my hope is that it will be as much fun and informative as the clinic Adam ran at Grabiak Chevrolet in New Alexandria, PA. Adam's the man. Rad

Yes as to parking. If you want the Celebrity Gig you need to politic a little.
-
Steve meeting again sounds inviting. Hope to see you at Corvettes at Carlisle.

Can't help with the paste wax but the wheel cleaner works really well. I love how it foams and clings to the wheel rims rather than running down to the bottom as APC tends to do. I tried the BSG treatment on my windows and WOW! Rich are you going to be able to make it to the Westmoreland Mall Show this weekend? Ifso I hope to see you there. It is an event where we can't wait for it to happen then can't wait for it to be over:lolsmack:

Yes Rich and everyone, it was a great get together and by the looks of those shelves Adam will be laughing all the way to the bank. Thank you Adam and everyone for making this a very special day.

OK guys I saw the weather forecast for Cleveland on Friday and Saturday and it is supposed to be sunny and mid 70's! I am considering driving the 32 to get it out, but I wondered about the torn up road comment earlier in the thread. Can some of the local guys give us an update on the road conditions? I hope to see lots of nice toys with that kind of weather. I am stoked for the Friday night get together and of course the Saturday clinic.
McDuff the road conditions should be no problem unless just recently. I was over that part of US22 some three weeks ago and while limited to two lanes there was no problem. I wouldn't burn tire however.

Wow! Those storm pictures look like Carlisle last year. Looks like a nice show.
Rich I thought the same thing.

Rich I wouild like to get a look at your toilet brush. I have one and tried it but the bristles were so far apart there was not enough moisture on the brush to work. Perhaps spraying with APC will help. Do you use that full strength or dilute it? I used it full strength on the rims but ended up using a whole spray bottle. At that rate things get pricy. Thoughts?
-
Undercarriage Spray? Don't know how heavily you drive your Z, but mine only sees nice weather, and the undercarriage spray does the trick....just do it outside, it can leave marks on the floor/asphalt,,,
Good Luck!
Thanx ALF01 but I need something to get the crud off before I use undercarriage spray. The way to really do this is to remove the wheels but I'm basically a coward when it comes to jacking the Zee.
-
Any you guys out there having success? I have about three fender brushes and can't clear the tire/wheel well as it's only about 2 inches at most. I would appreciate any suggestions. Rich, do you have similar problems with your C5 Z06?
-
I wish I could
I just point the bottle in the water and squeeze until it stops coming out then do it again. I'll try measuring this weekend or even better I'll shoot a small video
Thanx-Rad:2thumbs:
-
I fill it a little over half with water then two full squeezes of the car wash. Swish it around, don't shake it up. You'll be good to go
Bill would you amplify what you mean "2 squeezes". Could you indicate the proportion perhaps. Thanx Rad.

Update regarding the rag top. As I mentioned, the top is almost new but it did not have the "WOW" effect after washing the SKY using all Adams products. On the top, I have treated it with Product 303 and have always used the 303 cleaner that comes with the system. Well, yesterday I just used the Adams soap on the entire car, using the foaming gun. It needs to be noted, I applied the soap on the convertible top. Well, that WOW effect happened. It made such a difference, the entire call now looks great. Simple solution. :2thumbs:
What mixture did you use for the foam gun i.e. wash to H2O?

At the risk of stirring things up, I would like to make two points in reference to this...both of which I am passionate about.
First off - I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with the outrage over the AIG bonuses, and the "rewarding failure" mentality so prevalent on Wall Street and in our financial communities....
However...there is A SECOND ISSUE/PROBLEM....Our elected Politicians....
I am admittedly using a broad brush, and do not want this to be a Democratic or Republican thing....BUT...
HOW MANY MEMBERS OF CONGRESS HAVE VOLUNTARILY LOWERED THEIR SALARY TO $1.00/YEAR?????
Private jets, taxpayer funded boondoggles to the ends of the world.....their own "pension/retirement plan" while we are left with the remnants of Social Security??
The average Joe has no idea how these folks live, and it's much closer to the "AIG Executive" level than most of us....perhaps if we published their tax returns.....
I was e-mailed the following, and find it very relevant:

545 PEOPLE
By Charlie Reese
ffice:office" /><?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comPoliticians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-pickingthing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.
<o:p></o:p>
The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility todetermine how he votes..
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gallof a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party.
She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if theyagree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a singledomestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red .
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Have you EVER seen me wear that thing?
We should treat these guys to some gobs, halushki, and pieroghis, and Primanti Bros. sandwiches. Now you're eating!!
Alright Rich, you stuck it to me. No CCWP Name Badge:lolsmack:

Guys -- I'm thinking that this clinic has grown WAAAAY larger than originally planned, so I say that if the Friday night dinner becomes a really big thing that we don't hold Adam to his generous offer of treating everyone -- I mean, if 50 people show up for dinner, I think we all step up and chip in, agreed?
Rich
Rich I agree 100% and am willing to help out. Rad:help:
-
Seeins as I'm a native western PA resident I'll see yinz @ dinner as well as the clinic. Rich and I could wear our CCWP name tags:welcomebanner:
-
I'll have to check my work schedule but that doesn't sound like a bad idea
Hey Bill the trees etc will be out and the scenery should be good. Might consider cruising US 30 over the mountains to Altoona then north to US 22 to New Alexandria.

That pilot deserves the kudos he gets as he had to make a perfect landing also it probably wouldn't have been possible had the engines been in place.
-
I bought one last year but it disappeared before I got to use it so I can't offer any input. However I am in need of an improvement. Timeline fir new apron?

Rad, here's a link to the restaurant with menus and directions. Looks like a nice place.
Thanx Rich. Now to put it in my GPS and with a little luck......
