Found out last year the secret to getting into the fairgrounds with a minimum of hassle is to get there before 9AM or so Fri. and Sat. mornings.
I find the vendors are most helpful there are semi bargains there it you like I take a pocket full of money for essentials.
It is a place to meet new people and make new friends also stop by and say chat with the folks at the Corvette Club of Western Pennsylvania tent after you visit and check out all the goodies at the Adams Polishes Tent.

Got my order of polish and protectant but I'm too cold to try it out. Can this be applied over Adams Machine Polished surfaces???????

Three packs, three packs, three packs.
Is there any truth to the rumor that InOut spray will once again be out of compliance with the EPA, PETA, Sierra Club or any of the other Greenies as of next year. If so it might be prudent to stock up.
-
Thanks for attending Jeff and am glad I was able to help you out.
Yea' date=' that ZR1 was awesome. The paint looked amazing. The owner of the car said he only uses Detail Spray on it. It sits in his garage and he hardly takes it out.[/quote']
That's a lot of money and effort to get a garage sitter. Drive that beast.

Hey Mike Go State!!!! and welcome to the forum:burnout:

A lift:lol: BTW I'm just trying to be funny.

Rich we need to do the Kline routine i.e. get a Backyard Buddy to clean wheels.
-
Here in the north winter means no bugs but it also means no Vette.
-
Just ordered the wheel brush from autogeek, hope it works as well as suggested.
-
Maybe a stupid question here. What about applying MSW since it is a sealer then go over that with BW.
-
I must confess I'm a mad detailer in concept only. The mind is willing but the flesh is weak.
-
Thanx Rich for the kind comments but you ain't exactly chopped liver at the shows.
-
Brother Starry put them on some 6 weeks ago at Grabiak. Do you know him? He also does the clear bra application. Boy does he know Vette lore.

62 Olds: Most guys & girls are looking for it, we found it.
Hey 73VetteGirl, How's the Avitar? Thanx for your help. Rad:banana:

C6Bill thanx for the heads up and Adam's offer to help the situation. You guys are the best.:thumbsup:Rad

You put scratches in by hand polishing ? You have any pictures of that ? Should be easy enough to take out.
And I think what you received WAS constructive criticism, many fell that the dusters induce micro marring that over all is hard to see with the naked eye but has a serious dulling affect on the paint
Yeah Bill you may well have a point there. Never thought of that. When I speak of scratches when new though I am speaking of rather harsh polishing on my part due to frustration and poor self control. Rad

:welcomebanner:Sean!
Rich I posted a picture of the toy but I would like to use it as an avitar. Do you have any suggestions how to do if possible. Rad:help:
-
Rich, I use the Car Duster all the time and have not noticed scratches other than the ones I put on hand polishing when new. Next time we get together for a show or whatever, I would appreciate some constructive criticism.

Gen2 Polish/Wax Pads and Absorber Backing Plate
http://www.adamspolishes.com/p-330-2nd-generation-polishwax-pads-and-absorber-backing-plate.aspx
The thing we love about technology: It never stops improving! Introducing our Second Genration Polishing System: Self centering 7.5 inch Durafoam Pads, made of the same premium foam our 2-sided pads are made.
The improvements:
1. Longer lasting pads
2. Longer lasting backing plate
3. 20% more surface area, 20% less time to polish a surface!
4. 3/4" soft backing plate to absorb uneven surfaces, and reduce vibration.
As always, we only change when something better comes along, and this system is much better! 110% Guaranteed to out-polish any buffing pad system on earth.
Our Second Generation Pad System Includes:
* 7 1/2 Inch Orange Swirl Killer Pad
* 7 1/2 Inch White Fine Polishing Pad
* 7 1/2 Inch Black Ultra-Fine Polishing and Waxing Pad
* Super-aborber, always-centered backing plate
I bought the three pads @ Carlisle last summer but it occurred to me that I didn't have the backing plate. Silly me. Guess I'll have to get one.

Huh??? Who??
Oh 73VetteGirl, Harley Earl is the father of the Corvette and influenced the early styling. Rad
-
Hey Rich you need to get on the PC train. I was sold when Adam put one h*ll of a shine on the entire toy in about 20 minutes using the generation2 pads.
-
All I know Adam detailed my toy using generation2 pads and it never looked so good. I'm afraid of doing further detailing for fear I might screw it up. Thanx Adam and I'll be back next summer but promise not to set off my alarm.

I was at my first experience at Corvettes at Carlisle three years ago. Someone came around and gave me a sample of detailer. To that point I was a confirmed Zaino man. For the heck of it I did a side by side comparison and was so impressed I went straight to the Adams tent and bought a bucket full of product. Still using it and have added to it. Since I have my baby filmed, I can't wait for the polish and preservative for clear bras to arrive. Told Ray @ Grabiak to get on the stick and stock that stuff as they clear bra alot of cars and one HHR SS

Glad to be here and have emailed several friends from CCWP that this forum exists. To bad Somerset is months away. Cancelled the insurance and put the toy away for the winter but we can get ready for next year to have our Vettes etc. ready for next year.
