  1. Pulled this from another forum. Figured you guys would get a kick out of it

A lady walks into a Audi dealership. She browses around, spots the Top-of-the-line Audi R8 and walks over to inspect it. As she bends over to feel the fine leather upholstery, she inadvertently breaks Wind. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and prays that a sales person doesn't pop up right now. As she turns around, her worst nightmare materializes in the form of a salesman standing right behind her. Cool as a cucumber and displaying complete professionalism, the salesman greets the lady With, "Good day, Madame. How may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably, but hoping that the salesman may just not have been there at the time of her accident, she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle?" He answers, "Madam, if you farted just touching it, you are going to sh!t yourself when I tell you the price."
  2. +1 on an adams Iron Product. GWC is just too week for my vehicles and for cars that have heavy contamination like this. With an iron product there is minimal effort on cleaning rims, especially foreign cars because their brakes tend to be heavy in iron.

Ive restored BMW rims that hadn't been properly cleaned in over two years with some minimum effort using an iron cleaning product.

Its not an option, its a neccesity especially with BMW/Audi/Porsche/Benz

  3. 2006 Mini Cooper S..and a year later i got Her :) i still miss her immensely though :( my new one just isnt the same and is pretty boring to drive.

I can only imagine what she would have looked like with adams :(

She had a CAI, 15% reduction pulley and a magnaflow exhaust. When you hit the throttle the supercharger whine would be intoxicating, the tone matched perfect with the exhaust.

  4. I have just spent a fortune on re designing marketing material for my company. 8 page brochure, move in mailers and business cards from a company that specializes in my industry. In the beginning I was like you and didn't understand he point of paying someone top dollar to do something I thought I could do. Let me tell you it shows, you cannot cheap out on something that represents your company. You can be the best detailer with a DIY card and the customer will choose the guy with the better looking card even though his detail is sub par. Marketing material has alot to do with how clients perceive your company. People say print media is gone but I couldn't disagree more.

Plan on spending 100-199 for a really nice card. IMO that's not enough because they deserve more with the amount of time they put in but that seems to be the going rate.

I just held a tshirt design from Logo Design, Web Design and More. Design Done Differently | 99designs and couldn't be happier with what different designers came up with. They also offer logos and business card designs, I say check them out!

THat $20 bucks your offering is really an insult IMO. :o

  5. A few months back, I bought the garmin nuvi 3490. Its pretty expensive but if you use it fairly often, you'll be glad to have spent the coin. It is thin and fairly lightweight, you can carry it in your pocket. It can be used outside your vehicle and the screen is new tech meaning its smaller but still, very clear. Best yet, from the 6 months that I have been using it, I have never had a problem with the nav. It takes me where I want to go and I've never had any issues with the sometime "roundabout" routes. It has voice command and a lot of other features. The maps and software are updated fairly often.

    I would highly recommend it.

This is the one im learning towards the most right now, it IS pricey but as much as i use it i think its worth it. Thanks for your review, there are so many negatives on that one it was kind of scarring me

We use nothing but Nuvi's in our route trucks and they seem to work OK. I have a Zumo that I've liked since 2007, but anymore I use my phone.

I know you hate it but...

iOS6 will have nav powered by TomTom and Siri. It'll only work on iP4s or later I believe though.

    Chris

i know, and maybe i can be swayed depending on how good it is. Im already planning on getting an IPAD mount for the work van and use the maps in there since i always have my ipad in the truck for customer info/time etc.

The mini is another story though. :lolsmack:

HEY Brendon, how about a double din head unit with nav installed by yours truly.

I use to use stand alone GPS's however I than got my phone and use that. Now I have it built into my alpine which I love even more.

Nope, it doesnt work in the mini which is my primary vehicle for sales/service. not to mention i HATE the UI/GUI that aftermarket head units have for their GPS. And im still not convinced a gps system built into a car surpasses a truely dedicated GPS unit. My dads audi has the worlds "best" GPS car system and im not inlove with it.

  6. I have a 4 year old Garmin NUVI and it has been great, However it is starting to show its age and its time to retire it.

I use my GPS daily for finding customers homes. My budget is around $249 but will go higher if its worth it.

I HATE using my Iphone/ipad as a GPS (even with an APP) so a dedicated GPS is a must. ive looked at the new Nuvi's but they dont seem to be getting that great of reviews now :(

    Thanks Guys

  7. I cannot believe they are making a toy story 4. TS3 was theatrical brilliance and ended it perfect. Now they have to make an unnecessary sequel that will more then likely ruin the series :help:

I ran across this when i was on IMDB looking up tom hanks wondering if he was in a movie or not and this showed up in the list of movies. After some quick google searching its confirmed :help:

    Toy Story 4 (????) - IMDb

I guess my generation had Andy. The next gets the girl :(

  8. LOL! thats awesome

Obviously you guys thought this out. I know WE ALL KNOW its the same stuff but you know people...... didnt want you to scare away new clients. I had a customer watching me terminating BNC connectors and i was using liberty termination tool and he noticed that i was using a different brand of connector and got all willy about it :loser: thought i was screwing him over using a tool with a different brand of connector (even though they are identical in every way)

Ill be expecting my custom bottles next order :D

    Again congrats guys!

  9. So? will EVERY product have a GM licensed product logo now? if so i think this will turn away alot of business for people that dont own GM's. I really HOPE this will be separated from the line. I know/Other current members know its identical stuff but the ones that stumble across adams from say audi/mini/bmw/nissan etc forums may click away thinking these products are only for GM.

    BUT...Congrats thats awesome!

  10. yeah, totally normal! but i already told you that.

Really you guys use that much shampoo? i do 2 pumps in the foam gun and 2 in the wash bucket..The suds are insane :D

if memory serves right each pump is an ounce? i guess thats 1/4 of the bottle gone right there :lolsmack: ive never bought the little bottles so i dont have anything to compare too.

  11. No, They have had amazing growth and need a tax write off so adam purchased (or leased) as the new company show car so his check is less to uncle sam :jester:

It will be for shows/demos/logo and im guessing it is in collaboration with that corvette place they always do the demos at. Its probably an "adams" track car and they have hired the Stig to race for them :burnout:

    thats my guess :D

  12. I know exactly what you want, however I can't think of the name either! The last time I saw one was for a hoist that is used on a pickup truck to put things in the bed. Sorry I can't help

    Found it!

Welcome to the Spitzlift Portable Truck Crane

Thats the winch, just without all the frame stuff

Yup thats exactly what i need. Ive been googling for over an hour and just cannot think of it. But whats the name of it  On a side note, man those lifts are cool. Would be awesome for unloading/loading a "job box" :2thumbs:

  13. I am in need of a winch that is *hand powered* where if i crank it one way it pulls but i can simply crank it the other way and it will let it out.All in one motion if that makes sense? It will have weight on it when i let it out or pull it in. I cant use a trailer boat winch because it only cranks one way and if i flip the lever it will simply let it out.

I cannot for the life of me find this type of winch. :help: :help: :help:

similar to what is used on hand material lifts (duct lifts)

    TIA Guys :2thumbs:
