  1. Yes it is sad. I also don't understandbwhy the guy with him isn't being mentioned at all. Kind of like when Ryan dunn wrecked his porsche..

The driver of the car was Roger Rodas who is quite an accomplished driver. He had competed in a Porsche series and was in the Pirelli World Challenge series in his 2013 Boss.

They were both speed enthusiasts and speed got the better of them on that day. From other forums I am on the Carrera GT is known as the widowmaker as it doesn't have a traction control and with a car weighing 3000lbs and 600 hp in a rear engine car its alot of car to handle, even for the very experienced drivers.

    May both car enthusiasts RIP

  2. I drive a Kia Koup as my daily driver and I enjoy it. I was able to get MUCH more for my money with Kia than with Mazda, Ford or Chevy. The focus felt like a turd with the underpowered motor and fly by wire throttle as well at my price point.

  3. As an Astros fan I'm thinking my team needs the 2015 trade deadline to be here already.. Some promising prospects though and there's a bright side to our miserableness we are a part of now.

  4. As a current 96 cobra owner I will tell you even with the milage it's too much money. Would you be willing to drive a little to get your car? Any mods you would want done or bone stock? I don't mind scouring forums shopping with someone else's money :)

Oh and if you had anywhere near 20k that is 03-04 cobra territory if that is any interest to you.

  5. MookI may try that. I feel like I actually got most of it out. I'm sure there are spots that are there but it's much better than it was.

It's funny this happened along with a skunk getting into our garage and sprayed near the car and its infiltrated the interior as well. Of course I just got done swapping some very nice seating into the car before both happened. Not even a weeks time haha.

Ill steer clear of the ant hills for sure. It seems like it was so dang hot in the car that it actually cooked some of the sucrose out of the soda. It wasn't nearly as sticky as I would have expected before cleanup.

  6. I don't have a steam cleaner :(

So far it seems that it has worked its way out. I realize the brief cleaning may have masked it right now but I'm hoping not. The worst part is my painted console as some of the paint decided to come up too but its not in view. Its something I don't wish on anyone though so as a note for anyone who may look into this thread:

DO NOT LEAVE AN UNOPENED SODA CAN IN YOUR CAR IN SUNLIGHT FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME :explode:

  7. At work today my interior had an accident (well I had a brain fart and left a soda can unopened) and lets just say the Dr. Pepper visited every surface imaginable in my interior. I am going to go at it with a 50/50 ratio of interior cleaner and water along with some carpet and upholstery cleaner on the carpet and the seats which are a suede/alcantra material. I did reread Dylan's post about the seats so I will not spray onto the surface of the seats and I will only be spraying into the carpet on the floor directly. Any other suggestions? Also should mention I will be using my interior brush as well. Of course my TID doesn't get here until tomorrow :(

Gotta love the Texas heat to burst a soda!

  8. I'm looking at getting forged wheels for myself soon too. I'd love to source used to save funds just not sure I will be able to find exactly what I'm looking for on the used market.

  9. I'm mid first use of the flex and the presure has been my biggest issue so far. I know you mentioned you thought it was spot on but that is what I can offer as far as advice. Adam mentioned in the video and it resonated with me is you want just enough pressure to get the pad to even out on the surface. With the flex being a beefy unit (in a good way) I feel like it does alot of the pressure for me.

  10. After driving through West many times it's a bit surreal. I have a few friends who's family is from nearby town's and I have a distant cousin who lives in West too.

I can't wait until I drive through there again and support the town by purchasing Kolache's :patriot:
