  1. Here is an update of the progress. Here is a the stock insert next to the painted one. No panel. Installed. In the door. Both doors.
  2. I will when I get them installed.
  3. So I have the LS inserts and I got these from a member on C5, they were the cloth covered inserts from an LT. I took the cloth off of them, cleaned them and painted and clear coated them. I just have to buff it a bit and ready to install.
  4. I made the trip in two days, and came back in one. Lupe is the man, he did it in 7 hours. and I just hung out and watched him and played online. He charges 1600 parts and labor installed, but since I came from so far he did it for 1400 cash. But I spent that in gas and hotels easily. Here is a shot of them open in my garage.
  5. I have the paint for the SIM, but I wanted to keep the black theme I have going with my car. I might buy another diffuser someday and paint it SIM and have two and can swap em.
  6. Haters just keep on moving.....I went to San Antonio Texas from Kearney, Nebraska, 16 hours there and 1004 miles. A total of 32 hours and 2008 miles to get these installed.
  7. No primer, just sand, paint, sand, paint, sand, clearcoat, sand, and buff.
  8. I sanded it with 400 grit, promoter adhesion, GM black base coat, clearcoat. I have a HVLP paint gun, no spray paint.
  9. So I got tired of having my black diffuser turn white and crawling under my car and applying VRT all the time, so I painted it black and clear coated it myself. No body shops for me.
