  1. Hello all. I will be deploying in a month, so I will be needing to store my car. Unfortunately it will be outside, and I'll need a high quality car cover. Mainly, I just have to worry about wind and rain here. Nothing too out of the ordinary for New York. What does everyone recommend? And how do you store your car outside? I've never stored one before
  2. Both of your posts make a lot of sense. If my pad wasn't primed enough with polish, would it will cake on the car? It does in some spots. And I'll pay close attention to my pressure when I'm home. Thank you both! Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  3. Yeah I primed the pad, I usually give a shot of Detail Spray every other time I make another pass so it's not dry. And I'm watching for the flashing so that's not a problem either. Hmmm...
  4. :willy: I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. About 1/3 of the way into my pass of polish, the FLEX becomes pretty darn hard to control to where I have to use a good amount of muscle to stop it from going everywhere. It doesn't seem normal at all to me, but is that how this machine is? I thought it would have been a lot easier to control! I've tried a little less polish and that didn't do much. And if I put any less pressure on it (it's not much at all as it is) I feel like it wont be enough. Can someone help?
  5. You were able to get 5 passes of polishing done with the Flex and then some in 6 hours time? Dang now I'm really excited to get my Flex!!
  6. HAHAHAHAHAHA This is spectacular.
  7. I'm definitely gonna find something to use it on next weekend. It's schedule to be delivered on Thursday. Can't WAIT.
  8. And I CAN NOT WAIT for it to get here :willy: I've been thinking about it for a while, and I decided it's finally time to upgrade. After all I've heard from everyone here, it'll make polishing so much faster and easier compared to the Porter Cable. Seriously I'm so psyched to try this bad boy out. Too bad it's still winter here, and the temperatures haven't been getting much higher than 25 degrees lately. But I'm sure I'll find a way to use it. I do have a heated garage after all. I'm getting such a bad case of cabin fever lately. I can't get wait to get back on my detailing grind!! I have so many cars lined up to polish up once this snow and salt go away for a while. It's gonna drive me insane!

  10. I'm down here with my Air National Guard unit. It's crazy the amount of work we're doing. But all of the people we are helping and the thanks we get and the attention is insane. It's so worth it. I'm glad I'm down here. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
  11. Thanks everyone for your responses! Will a coat of wax be sufficient enough for probably 5 months in the garage? Or should I put a coat of sealant on it?
  12. It'll be stored in a garage, he's not sure about a cover yet. I'm thinking a solid 2 bucket wash of course. Clean the wheels and undercarriage too. But I shouldn't worry about Brilliant Glaze, VRT, or anything fancy like that right since it's just going to be stored right after? And would Americana Wax hold up the whole winter or should I use Quick Sealant?
  13. Hello all. Quick question. And I'm sure this will be useful to others as well. How do you all prepare your paint for winter storage? I have a friend who wants their car to have a proper wash and wax before she goes into hibernation for the winter. Any advice will help out. Thanks!
  14. I didn't know they made V8's that small!
  15. If only we had that weather up here in October. Very nice!!
