  1. I think it was four gallons and a few big bottles.....cant remember but my detail cart is about full, lol
  2. getting a 42# box shipped for $7.95 is MORE than awesome, other than that, no real point I guess LOL
  3. ^ youtube is your friend on that one.
  4. I ordered the MTM last week, as I already have a pressure washer. I look forward to getting it in, and using it.
  5. GM is falling behind in so many catagories..... technology, gas milage, looks, interior design, being first to market, plus the GM 2014 are nasty ugly. It is sad too, GM, imo has rested on its laurels and fallen behind when it should have keep pushing the envelope. I was thought GM made the best, now I just cant say that with a straight face.
  6. schwag.........drive a Ram 1500, do yourself the favor. I never in my life thought I would be a dodge guy, but I am telling you....it has ALL the power you want, the GMs always hesitated to me, the Ram is there before you hit the pedal. I drove a GMC Serria Denali and RAM Laramie with in 15 minutes of each other and the GMC felt like a logging truck in comparison to the RAM.......the RAM had quicker pick-up power too, IMO. and the Ram has the most room. In the Crew Cab, the back seats have the same amount of room as the fronts, coming from a Chevy, I always thought the back seats were cramped. I was amazed at how HUGE the inside is on the RAMs. just do yourself the favor and drive one.........yes, I was that impressed.
  7. RAM is the best on the road IMO opinion right now....nothing else touches it in comfort of ride.....room inside.... and the gas mileage is best in class too.... hell the 2013 5.7hemis produce 395hp (the GM 6.2=403) did I mention I just ordered a RAM, lol
  8. thanks............I ask just to know.....I don't want anyone to think I am griping or anything, just planning out orders.
  9. when are they expected to be back in stock, is there an ETA?
  10. you know you suppose to wash it BEFORE claying, LOL, that is one trashed piece of clay!! I kid, I kid
  11. what is a dslr? yeah basically I was looking for point and shoot...
  12. looking for a new camera...... need a "good" one under $200. I know there are guys/gals on the boards that know a lot about cameras, and I am not one of them.....so lets here it. been reading reviews on this one, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-wx150. thoughts or other sugestions???
  13. I don't expect it to stay swirl free, I really don't......I do expect it to be 100% better than the dark colored (black, blue, ect) trucks I see around town. as far as financial future, didn't hurt at all really. I got a great deal and been planning on getting a truck for a while.....big step up from a 2003 avalanche. I am pretty excited, I am 36 and this is my 1st brand new vehicle.
  14. I am really hoping this new ram is easy compared to the week long ordeal that I did on my Avalanche that I owned for 7 years of swirl-o-matics...... 2x sshr all the way down to fmp.......... anything is gonna be easy compared to that!!! BTW, did I mention the new truck was BLACK......yep it should be here in a few weeks! I cant wait!!
  15. so I finally got a new truck......ordered a 2013 Ram longhorn that will be here in a few weeks. questions: since it will be straight from the factory how much damage can be done? (assuming dealer doesn't "detail" it) after claying you think I can get by with FMP? or SHR then FMP? since this is my first dodge/ram, what is the clear like on these??? I always had GM which seemed fairly hard. thanks
  16. I just took 4 afternoons to do my truck. I would do whatever panels I choose to do that day and did them all the way to the sealant step. the next day I would WW the days choosen panels.
  17. ok cool. you know I never once was scared about burning paint, I actually held it in place and applied pressure just to see how hot it would get. and you know it wasnt that bad. I am sure you could burn the crap out of it, I am going to say it have to be a serious brain fart by someone not paying attention. (but I am FAR from any expert) I too read the bottle and used 6-8 drops, then switched to the line of polish. I kinda thought hitting it with detail spray everytime it dusted made the polish runny, then again I may have not added enough polish. dont take it wrong, but it makes me feel a bit better you stil had some left on the trunk. I had some like that and was wondering why they were still there. So looks like me and you are somewhat on the same path. keep us updated
  18. you know another good question I got is: when, as far as weather conditions can you run the flex on 6? it is 90ish degrees and 50% humidity here in memphis. I been running the flex on 4 to stop the dusting. Which I dont mind cause when you look at the numbers the flex on 4 is the PC on 6.(basically) also did you get that truck lid scratch free? if so thats awesome! how many passes to do that?
  19. Yes I would like more feedback as well. Feel free to call hijack and I will move to a new thread. I have many the same "issues" as you 1. first time I laid hands on any polisher it was my new FLEX. 2. I still have sratches too. I can not catch fingernail. Work product, flash. Detail spray, work again, detail spray, work again spped was 4, since anything faster would dust in less than a up/down- sideside cycle. 3. I was kinda expecting more with all the passes SSR, SHR, FMP. granted my truck has 155K on the clock but I have seen much worse "disappear" in the pics I have seen on the forum.
  20. did the rest of the truck today, and the other panels clayed just fine. only the hood, and front fenders (mostly the hood) had anything not clayed out. Whick I am thinking that is to be expected since it is the front and has the first chance to hit rocks, sand, ect.
  21. thanks guys... Yes, with a bare hand the clayed panel feels slick and smooth , while a unclayed panel feels ROUGH, even to a bare hand. I figured it was more than clay could handle. Which is ok, cause I do not know how much longer I will keep the truck, but I do want to make it look as good as new before I sell it. I will test on other panel today, since I figure the hood is the roughest part of a vechicle.
