  1. Im back and forth between blacking them out or possibly painting that reflector silver to match the mirror cap. I may plastidip them first and see how I like it. Good suggestion!
  2. Thanks, wish I would have been in town to see your car when you were at Len's. Truly a work of art sir! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. Those killjoys!! Well if I end up with a ticket I'll get my eye doc to write me something since I can't wear sunglasses Hopefully one day I'll get her looking as tough as that ram! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I finally got to do a proper detail on my FX4. Its new so not alot of hard work was required but I feel better about it now I went with the usual 2 bucket process, then clayed and layed down a layer of Americana. I also applied a layer of BG and Americana to my Bakflip G2. But it wasn't all rainbows and lollipops today. I found a few spots here and there that had trash in the paint and a spot on the top of the cab with some tiny bubbles. I'm debating on whether I want to address them with the dealer or not. Its not noticeable really and I only found them because I was claying. I could feel them when I clayed but not while I was waxing or buffing with my double soft. I believe it's too big of a risk of a blotched paint job to really make me address the trash. It's in one spot on one of the rear doors. However the bubbles on top of the cab I may make them fix. still undecided. Anyway, here are a couple of pics. A couple of them show an exhaust tip that I had left over from my blue truck. It was the factory chrome package slip on tip. I prepped it and painted it black, then cleared it with clear header paint. LEN! take special notice of my now bare naked bed sides! I await your thoughts kind sir! I am still thrilled that I chose a silver truck this time. Sooo much easier to work with:rockon: I also had my front two windows tinted 20% to match the factory rears with LLumar's UV shield tint, and a 5% windshield brow. I'm working on getting some custom ford oval overlays in black and silver for the front and rear ovals and also plan on adding rear wheel well liners(should come this way from the factory.....Hello Ford?) painting my F150 emblems black and silver, and eventually a level and some larger tires.
  6. I definitely like the wheels better. When I told them what options I wanted 18" wheels were on the list. I gotta see if I can do something about those tires though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks! I like it. Luckily it was built last month so the dealership didn't have a chance to "detail" it before I bought it. I washed it yesterday but plan on going more in depth this weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. He might have inspired me... just sayin.
  9. Well my dad bought my 2011 F150, so I picked up this 2012 FX4 a couple of days ago. I decided to do myself a favor and not get a dark color this time!
  10. I am the poor unfortunate sap who may be subject to this job, however its a great opportunity to break into an untapped opportunity as a possible little side job this summer. I have already had some interest from other people on polishing trucks. This would be a great test mule to get some exposure if they decide to go through with it. here is a picture of the rig in question, and also a picture of a small test spot I did by hand.
  11. reminds me of the time when I had my gmc a few years ago. it was probably only a year old at the time. it was sitting at my gfs house in the driveway and we heard two distinctive loud "thuds". ran outside and somebody had threw two full cans of dr.pepper at my truck, when they hit they exploded all over it and of course dented my back fender and scratched my tailgate pretty good. she lived about 400 yards from the police station too. the nerve of some people! anyway i talked to the cops, and they said others had been hit in the area the past couple of days. so a week or two goes by and the police catch them finally.....two teenage boys, in a new bmw....their reason for throwing crap at people's cars you ask?.........boredom. I hope your vette is ok!
  12. haha! i havent heard this one in a looooong time. so funny!
  13. nice! I just saw one of those this morning on a show on speed with Stacey David. It was on a red truck and that had the contours around the "scoop" painted black. Pretty sweet.
