  1. I haven't driven a Dart. I've driven plenty of Mazdas, which are very similar to Fords. I will say that with all the traveling I have done for shows recently, and of all the cars I have rented or been in, the Cruze was overall the best. This includes over a Jetta, a Kia, or a Hyundai. Granted rentals aren't always the "best" light to see cars in, but the Cruze was the nicest of the beat up bunch.

     

    Rich, your best bet for him is to get whichever feels more comfortable to drive around. Everyone will, as always give you their opinions, fan boys or not.

    I disagree with part of what you say. A rental can be the best light to see what a car is really made of, if you get a higher millage car and it still feels good, that is a well made car. The rental market will put years worth of wear on a car in weeks worth of time.

  2. Sounds like maybe too much product or the surface was too hot, but you mention being in a garage so maybe not. With it being a year old maybe you're dealing with a settled product, so the solids to liquid ratios were off. Did you shake the hell out of it to get a good mix before starting?
