  1. I agree with everyone...Adam's glass cleaner is the best I have ever used. HOWEVER, it does not exempt you from using proper technique. If you spray too much product then commence to wiping as if you were using windex...you will get streaks. I have found that lightly misting the windows then using the glass towel as more of a squeegee rather than a towel gives the best results.

Watch Dylan demonstrating the waterless wash technique...cleaning glass is similar.

  2. I don't have a padded top, but the bucket caddy with a 5 gallon bucket and the screw top lid is 18". Sorry for the odd angle, but I was holding the tape measure and the iPad.

Ok...now I am confused. How can the 5 gallon bucket hold twice as much water as the 2.5 gallon and only be 3 inches taller (assuming they are the same diameter)??

  3. I have both. I use the bucket caddy MUCH more often. The rolling detail seat sits in the corner of my garage and I essentially use it for storage (Adam's storage). The main reason is I like the height of the bucket caddy MUCH better (it is lower than the rolling detail seat). Keep in mind...I have the older 2.5 gallon buckets (so glad I bought it back then). I have used the detail seat...and didn't care for it for 2 main reasons. 1) it was too high for my liking and 2) when you put stuff underneath it, it always tips over and ends up rolling all over the place. It would work for pads, towels, etc...but bottles don't work very well. I do use the pad to get on the ground when I clean the tires.

I would go for a bucket caddy and just get your self something to kneel on (like a gardner would use).

    Just my $0.02.

  4. Yeah...I have read stuff like that before too. I don't buy it. Waxes and sealants protect against bird bombs, water-spots, acid rain etching, bugs, sap, etc. I don't think ANY wax or sealant out there can protect against a speeding rock hurling toward your bumper when traveling 65+ mph down the highway...just not gonna happen.

If I were you...I would play it safe and get the old-school bra.

  5. how do people let a car get so bad. I can understand maybe a pos but a 2011 35k c300, i just don't get it sometimes.

    Great job!!

My thoughts exactly. I understand that not everyone has the time, money, energy, or care to keep their rides as clean as most on the Adam's forum. But, some people let their interiors get nasty. There is a difference between messy and dirty. Ok...off my soapbox.

    Awesome job Chase!

  6. Jeff...I am by no means an expert, but I don't Machine Super Sealant or any wax will guard against rock chips. Bugs? Absolutely. But I don't think any brand of wax or sealant will guard against rocks.

If I were you...I would invest in a leather or vinyl bra for the trip. I would protect with MSS before installing the bra.

And yes...the Buttery and MSS will come right off with a mixture of water and APC.

If I am off base...some of the experts will chime in.

  7. Very sad to hear. Over my 23+ year career, I have seem many active duty men and women killed in motorcycle accidents.

I recently learned a very close friend of mine died in a freak skiing accident. He was only a young 1st Lt starting his career. He was posthumously promoted to Captain.

My hear goes out to you Andrew...I know what you are going through.

SSgt Dennison...may you rest in peace.

  8. I use quick sealant and Americana on my Accord that sits outside 24/7. I usually do the quick sealant/Americana about every 2 months.

I agree...MSS topped with Americana is what I do as well.

Donny...one question for you: Do you strip your car every 2 months? Or do you just wash and reapply MSS and Americana? If you don't strip...have you noticed any build up, hazing, etc?

  9. This discussion brings up a related point...storage concerns. I have had my Americana for a year now and I use it sparingly. I use primarily MSS because I have daily drivers...white and silver. However, I occasionally throw on a coat of Americana for added protection and the joy of spreading the silky smooth wax over the paint.

First off...I live in Las Vegas (so it is pretty dry and hot). I keep the wax inside in my laundry room in a cabinet. Is this the best place for it? Or should it be stored in the fridge? Since I only use it occasionally, I want it to last as long as possible.

Also, how about a tiny spritz of DS before closing the container...again, it is dry here.

    Thoughts??

  10. I echo everyone else. Adam's can only offer the 110% guarantee IF they offer top quality products. If they offered a 110% guarantee and sold sub-par products, they would be out of business. Sure, occasionally, someone takes advantage of the guarantee...but I would say those people are very rare. Just remember...you can have the best products in the world, but if you don't know what you are doing...you won't get good results. Watch the videos and be patient.

By the way...are you going to "pull the trigger" or "push the button" :)

  11. Good lord, I hope not. The quality is very poor for the cost.

No Highs, no lows.... it must be Bose.

I agree. I think Bose makes a decent product and they sound pretty good. However, I think they are a bit overrated. There are much better alternatives out there for less or same money. Just my opinion.

  12. I have a Sonos Play 5 in my garage. I love it. One of the biggest differences in the Sonos and the Soundlink is the wireless technology. I am pretty sure the Soundlink uses bluetooth while the Sonos uses is own proprietary technology. The differences is that the bluetooth transmitter has to be within range of the speaker. This is also true for the Sonos, but it works with your wireless router and has a much larger range (good to go anywhere in my house). Furthermore, in my opinion, the Sonos technology delivers better sound than bluetooth. Bose is a pretty good speaker, but I prefer Sonos.
