Thought you all might find this fun
That was fun! Haha

Those wheels are nice!
And that exhaust... Sick! Makes me want to do mine!

Now all that 4-hour energy crap on the other hand, I don't know about that. I predict a class action law suit in about 10 years when they find out that stuff causes cancer and birth defects
I drink those... A lot...
And I swear, I drink so much coffee that you could find traces in my blood! Haha
Im only 18, so no fancy machines for me, but being 18, I don't know what I'm missing on with a "good" cup of coffee, so anything tht gives me those jitters I love!!

My pre-Adams life included a heavy using of the California duster, and not even the proper way!!!
But I did my first correction on the merc, and I still used Cali duster... That thing was in the trash the next day after I saw the car covered in micro swirls!

Do you rent it just when you detail or a long term basis?
Also, sorry to thread jack!!
-
Vince, where do you do your detailing if it's a two day correction?
In fact, everybody that details as a job or side job, where do you do your corrections?
-
Anyone have one yet? Thoughts?
John does. Poster #9 in this thread

There's a lot of debate on the validity of red light cameras.
I believe Los Angeles actually removed their cameras and I think San Diego is next.
The reason, you can fight them with no problems. There's nobody in court that can represent the camera, as there would be if you got a speeding ticket from a cop.

Wow! Certainly didn't get to do as much as Ray above me here. That thing is awesome!! That looks like it was so much fun to build, not to mention how much fun you'll have driving it!
I did get my weekly wash in, which is always nice to have a Adams clean car before the weekend

Not debating that. I could spend hours, and have, on my own ride and not think anything of it. Most people do not appreciate the detailed work, nor would want to pay for it. Example: I spent 9 hours on my wife's car- it was perfect- the only thing she noticed was that her Highlander smelled good.
That's where before and after pictures come in handy! I love showing these to clients

It seems like it would maneuver around tires and not get stuck under them as easy if it is so rigid. Is this true?

How does this stuff do on primer? My brother has a 72 Datsun 510 and has all the glass out now and cant afford a professional paint job on it... more or less half assing it and just wants it runnning... its got a SOHC 240 motor in it. Right now the car is in rattle can primer. Its not exactly smooth by any means. Would it stick too much and bond too well since its a rougher primer? I showed him this and thought it would be a cool alternative until he gets the money to spray it professionally.
Plastidip works on just about everything.
I can't see any reason that it would stick more, if applied right, it comes right off when you want it too! I'm sure it will work just fine!
Plus a matte black 510 would look sick! If he gets some nice wheels and applies the dip right, he might not even want to get it sprayed professionally. Save the money to put in the car!

In the video on the site, he kinks it with his hand as you would do if you wanted to briefly stop the flowing of the water. D you think it's possible to do with this hose? Maybe he just wasn't grabbing it tight enough or something?

Works great for filling up my foam cannon and my never to be used again foam gun.
I could take that foam gun off your hands if you'd like
I'll pay of course! You just seem like you won't be using it, and I could put it to good use!

It hold up against rock hits on grilles and wheels with ease so I'm sure it would have no problem underneath. Even if it does start to chip (which I doubt it will) you can always respray it
Yes, you can spray it off with a hose no problem, you can even use all purpose cleaner!
put a solid 3-4 coats on and it will last a pretty good while

It is easy to peel if its thick enough. Too thin of coats and its a pain to remove. i did 2 light coats, then 2 medium coats, then one thick coat (without runs) and it was really easy to peel off.
Exactly! Too little, and it's a pain.
If you run into to trouble, just rub it with your finger and try to get it to roll, then just keep peeling back

Go to Dipyourcar.com
All of the products, help, videos, FAQ you could ever need when dealing with plastidip
Also, they have gloss- black, white, red, matte- black, white, red, metal -gold, silver, gunmetal
Great stuff! I use it often because if I get tired of my current combo, it just comes right off, but make sure you have put a solid 4-6 coats to create to easiest possible removal
Have fun with it!

Take your time! I can't stress this enough. When things start getting complicated and you get frustrated, and it will happen haha, you start breaking things or mess something up. I installed hids on a friends mazda6 and accidentally broke a piece that thankfully was not important.
Just relax and be patient! Your end result will be worth it!
