Always wash first.
No need to dry before clay.
You MAY need to wash again after clay - just to get the clay residue off. Or an isopropyl alcohol wipe might just do the trick.
Polish then wax is correct.
Take your time and enjoy it!

Yep. You are good to go. The 12 hour cure time on the old Machine Super Sealant is for LAYERING. If you want to add a layer of wax you should wait 12 hours.
The current Liquid Paint Sealant can be layered after 1/2 hour or so....

Just because you can't see grit doesn't mean there isn't any there.
Soap and water is cheap.
The grit guard keeps the grit at the bottom of the bucket where it belongs. I say leave it there and just make more soapy water.
