I recently bought a 15 year old rv some of the fiberglass has become kind of chalky and dull. I’m looking to bring it back to life and looking great. What do you suggest I use. Has to be something easy to use and affordable as the rv is pretty big, 35’ and 12’ tall
from what I’ve done so far it seems to be just soaking up anything I put on it.

Thank you for the explanation. That alone has locked me in for a while. I was just about to stray n see what else was out there. This post was perfect timing

Did a full detail on a 68 Chevelle ss yesterday. The car was in pretty good shape when I got it, didn't have many swirls in it but the pain just didn't pop. We'll problem solved. My procedure was
Strip wash
Clay
Paint finishing polish with the flex and microfiber pad
Brilliant glaze
2 coats of Americana
Svrt on tires
And s100 on all the chrome trim

So I picked up a used '13 VW Golf R a month or so ago. I just finally got the time and weather to line up and give her a detail. It really cleaned up great!! Had a pretty good scuff on the rear wheel well that almost completely came out. Of course I didn't take any before and after pics. Other than that it was in pretty good shape.
A couple questions for you guys. I have noticed the brake dust on this car is TERRIBLE. Any tips on battling that? I normally keep a good layer of QS on them, any thing else I can do?
Also it is normal for these cars to get a lot of buildup on the exhaust pipes. It cleans up well with deep wheel cleaner but still feel like I could be preventing it better.
I tinted the windows almost as soon as I got it and last weekend I went and got it tuned so I should be at 310hp in a ~3200 lb car. It's a blast. The most fun car I have ever owned.
On with the terrible cell phone pics, sorry I am NOT a photographer.

Just ordered some to see how they work. I hope they will perfect for detail sprat, waterless/rinseless wash, and wheel cleaners.

If you are putting on 30k a year I would defiantly look into diesel. My local vw dealer has a used Toureg tdi for 42g
Remember with the Toureg that they are built on the same line in the same factory as the Porsche Cayenne. I think it's really a hell of a bargain for what it is.

How do you like that? I have been wanting one but cant really justify it to myself to soend 50 on a water nozzle.
Do it. U won't regret it. I was nervous too but now I love it

It's a mess. There is still about 120,000 out in NJ. We were told that we might be home for thanksgiving...

We just got word that we will be heading for oceanport NJ ASAP.
I'm a power lineman from Toledo, OH and we just spent a week in Cleveland restoring customers

I have a set of dr dre tour in ear headphones and they are great! the noise cancellation almost works too well, you cant here ANYTHING but your music. I wont wear them when i ride my bike because I seriously can't hear anything. As someone else has said I have also had issues with getting them to fit comfortably. I have owned them for over a year and still an not sure what rubber piece I like.
Also being an iphone5 owner I am very impressed with the Ear pods. I dont know if they will stay in your ear for working out though.

I Love my diesel

I'd use clay If its anything like my wife's Candy White Passat it has rail dust all over it, possibly what is in that last pic, so you will benefit from it anyhow

I have the same issue with quick sealent. I apply it and it looks streaky then it's a PITA to remove. I spray it on an applicator spread over finish and let cure for a minute or two. I then take a microfiber and wipe down and I ALWAYS have to scrub the stuff of die to the blotchiness. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong but my arms will be hello if I try to QS my whole truck because the stuff won't come off. I only do small sections at a time as well. Part of me thinks that it's noticible on other vehicles but black really shows it.
Do you put it on over Americana?
-
So to bring back an old topic because I had this hazing happen to me.
I do believe that the last thing I did was use quick sealant. And since there is almost always a coat of Americana on my car it would have been over the Americana. Is that what caused the hazing is the sealant over the Americana? I am new to Quick sealant and as of right now I am kinda afraid to use it. Especially on a customers car that I am doing this weekend and don't have time to use machine super sealant.
So I guess what I am saying is what did I do wrong that caused the hazing? Has anyone else had hazing issues with quick sealant?

What was you method on cleaning up the lights?

Does Adams just sell the flex machine?? I don't need a combo with pads as I just bought a bunch of Adams pads and polishes.
Talk to Ashley... She will help u out, however you can't use any discounts on just the machine. So you would probably be better off ordering a kit and getting 15% off....
You would only have to spend a little more for a lot more stuff
-
I just got my flex today. Went and tried it out on my car and all I can say is WOW what a machine. Is anyone would have told me how great this thing was I never would have bought the pc
-
Get on an f150 forum. Most likely there will be some for sale there
-
I don't own a camaro and I'll be driving 4 hours just to see the Adams crew

I disagree. Just passed a ranger with hids and it blinded the shot outta me
-
I'm going to pretend that I didn't hear that.
Hahaha.

I really don't want to buy anything completely foreign. Mazda is really a win win win for me.
They are made 15 minutes away, Ford has a great invested stake in them, and the Japanese technology aspect really motivates me for them.
Ford only owns 3% of Mazda anymore... They sold a lot of their shares in the 2008 crisis
