  1. 2 Great white drying towels-1 for the upper half of the car, 1 for the lower half.

5 utility towels-1 for each wheel and 1 for the windows.

3 waterless wash towels-2 for the engine bay, 1 for the door jambs of my Camaro.

2 Double soft towels-1 for polish residue buffing. 1 for buffing off wax/sealant residue.

If I have to clay a vehicle that I have not detailed before, I will use another 1 to 2 waterless wash towels for removing the combo of detail spray and clay residue.

  2. I have the second largest one that they make and I love that thing. As mentioned it is indestructible.

If you do a lot of camping/hiking get the MSR Miniworks water filtration system and you can filter water directly from it's source straight into the bag. It will attach at the base to the fill port on the dromedary bag.

  3. It's great for getting off fresh road tar. I came home the other night after detailing my Camaro and had to drive thru some recent construction.

Got out my car to see to my horror a ton of tar on the side of the car. It was still wet so I hurried over the closest power wash place, sprayed on the APC and let it sit for about 5 minutes and then washed the tar off like it was nothing. I love this stuff.

After that went back home, did a final wipe down with some water less wash and reapplied some wax to that part of the car.

  4. The worst was my great aunt's Oldsmobile Calais. It was a late 80's w-body version and I took it into the shop to install some air shocks for the rear. She was having a electric scooter carrying platform installed and needed the shocks installed on the car.

After I finished the car, I thought it would be nice to wash and detail the car for her. Her niece and nephew had been using the car mainly and it was filthy.

I found chicken bones and other fragments of food on the floor. The paint was matted with pollen, dirt, and all kinds of crud. The interior smelled horrible and the carpets had all kinds of crap ground into it.

24 hours of total work went into detailing the car. I even buffed the head lights back to perfection.

She cried tears if joy and hugged me when I brought the car back to her the next day. She said she hadn't seen it that pristine since it rolled off the show room floor.

Crazy thing was I did that back in 2005. The car was an 1988 year model car I believe. It only had 35,000 miles on it as she rarely drove it. After getting the crud off the car the paint buffed out to a perfect finish.
