omg...I really need to stop reading this forum. Im trying to save up for a second kid, a new SUV and the open lot next door! I cant be spending cash on new toys!
-
yeh, I got one of those today...I will prolly put it on my truck after the next wash and try it out...I really like it!! the red is a bit brighter than the others I had...
-
Something like 4'' long. the current stickers that I have take up a lot of the rear window on my truck (sliding rear window makes each of the three kinda small)...
-
could you reproduce - with Adams permission - a smaller version of the Adams logo? I really want to put the sticker on my truck, but the current one is a bit big...
-
Gotcha...I wasnt trying to bust your chops...I just dont understand it.

Because there is not vinegar in your washing machine?
So how is it that hot water + vinegar = good but hot water alone is not??
-
Considering that boiling them in water w/ vinegar is good to fluff them up, why is washing them in hot water a bad thing?
Also, is it ok to wash the MF with the Adams wash mitts?
-
I clay bar, polish, wax, and Brilliant Spray Glaze my door jams
do you kiss them goodnight too?? lol...jk.
If I had a sweet Vette like some on here, I would take more time in cleaning the jams. However, on my DD, a little DS on a cheap MF does the trick.
-
I usually just wipe them down with a wet rag if you do it every time you wash you dont really need to do more then that.
+1. That's usually I need to do to mine as well.

Oklahoma weather is friggin stupid. The only significant snowfall of the year came yday as we got 6''. And now the temp is at 60*. Stupid weather...It had better not mess with the UPS guy getting to my door tomorrow. Im supposed to get my first Buttery Wax!
-
Rick, do you have more pics of this? I would like to see more/different angles before guessing what it is and what to do.
-
I would SO love to live close to the Adams warehouse...although, it would be dangerous to my financial stability
-
Personally, I fill my rinse bucket almost to the top. I want as much water in there as possible so as to give me more dirt-free water to rinse the pad with.
-
Im not gonna lie, the jumbo is the bomb! I love it for my double-cab truck b/c it covers so much space with each pass. At first I thought it would be too large and unwieldy, but its really not; its great.
-
great job! what had they used on that thing in the past? Brillo pads??
-
they must have seen the movie Cars too many times..
-
Jason, I cant tell you how sweet that car is! But, who is that leaning against it in jeans!! yikes!! Those little rivets suck.
Also, nice sig line...Snatch is a great movie. "It was a funny angle".

I read somewhere that you can fluff the MF by boiling it in water w/ vinegar..was that just someone messing around, or is there any truth to it? sounds like a PITA.

AJ, PLEASE if you are ever in my neck of the woods, come work on my scratches! I have one bad one on a headlamp cover and a whole bunch of small ones from a piece of carpeting that fell on the car (backing side down of course) and scratched the roof and right door panel. I've tried all I can do by hand, but I need your expert help. I promise to feed you!!
Excellent job!
+1, but I am in OK. I have some stubborn webbing that Im sure you could knock out. You really are awesome at killing scratches.
-
I think this guy has a bigger problem... apparently BigFoot is living in the back of his SUV!
LMAO!! I was thinking the exact same thing! Those arent hairs, those are friggin quills or something. At that point, you buy a trailor to tow the pet...yuck
-
yeh, an inch would do it. I can measure it tonight if you want me to...I was thinking of doing the same thing.
-
It does not fit my 5 gallon bucket, like Esteban said it sits just under half way but IMO I think it is fine. I just rub my wash pad over it and the grit will still settle to the bottom.
That's true, and there's value in that. My only concern is that I dont have enough water/soap above the grit guard so I feel like I am not getting enough lubricated goodness on my mitt before I drag it across my truck.
-
No. I got a 'standard' 5 gal bucket from Lowes and the grit guard does not fit properly. The base of the bucket is too narrow and the guard sits a little below the half-way point. not very useful, IMO. I did, however, find a 3.5 gal bucket at Lowes with a wide base and the guard fits nicely there....still wish I had a wider 5 gal though.

ok, wait, we are talking about applying the wax with our BARE hands, right? like that brit in the detailing video someone just posted up a couple days ago...

Double cab...Im just gonna put it on the rear window and see how it goes...what would really be cool is if I had a hitch cover in the adams logo shape!
