  1. I will let him know about the 2-bucket wash, and also to stay away from car washes that touch the paint.
  2. Wow thanks for all the compliments members! I didn't think I would be able to squeeze in this much work in one weekend, but a little bit each day from Friday-Sunday was enough. There were times when if felt like I would NEVER get done. All I kept thinking was "OMG I have so much more car to do. OMG I'm only on pass 1 of 3."
  3. My friend owns a black Lexus and I noticed how bad his swirls were. I asked him if he didn't mind if I tried to correct his paint. Here is my first detail using a Portal Cable and the normal suite if Adams products. I would love feedback on my results. I spent about 8 hours on the detail, is that a lot or normal? My hand is killing me I found it very difficult to get it 100% correct. My friend loves the results so that makes me happy. ***BEFORE PICS*** ***AFTER PICS***
  4. I love watching your work Derek! Very inspirational, but how do you find the time for all these amazing turn around jobs? How long does something like this take you, from beginning (washing) to end (waxing)? Can anyone say HELICOPTERS!!!!!????
  5. I have a ton of swirls so I'll be doing the Swirl & Haze Remover pass as well.
  6. In the summer I drive my Camaro, but in the winter (I live in Southern Ontario across the border from Detroit Michigan), I drive a 1999 Ford Explorer Sport. The Explorer has never been polished or anything, but now that I am hooked on Adam's products, I thought to myself "Hey, why not make the winter beater look a little nicer!" I enjoy doing the work and I like the way the car looks when it is done. My question to you all is this: With winter about 3-4 months away, is it a waste of time, or a bad idea to polish up the winter beater? Will all that hard work go to waste once the snow season begins?
  7. Thanks guys, I ended up using detail spray and it all came off fine.
  8. I just finished polishing with Swirl and Haze Remover, then the Fine Machine Polish. I need to get my Sealant on before days end. LOL So I am wiping off any residue with a microcloth, but apparently I used to much product and it doesn't come off that easy. I am left with some streaking of polish. Can I dampen my cloth with water and/or Detail Spray to remove excess polish residue?

  10. Holy cow! Great job! I hope I can do the same to my wife's Black Jeep Liberty.
  11. Just in time because I ordered my 1st " Adam's Starter Porter Cable 7424 XP Polisher Kit"
  12. Is it okay to use the Conditioner without first using the Cleaner? My interior is pretty clean all the time, but I like that little bit of shine.
  13. Thanks everyone for the valuable information. I can't wait to go home and lather up my interior...I might throw some SPF 65 on me as well and hang by the pool!
  14. Dylan, can I say how much you ROCK? Thanks!!!
  15. So it is okay to use Leather Conditioner on dashes and center console parts? How about the doors? Or just use SVRT on the doors?
  16. I've been using Adam's Leather & Interior Cleaner on the inside of my 2010 Camaro. I spray it on a clean cloth, and wipe pretty much everything except for the windows. I'm really happy with the way it looks except for this one issue that is starting to bother me. One day I was in a fast-food drive through and it started to rain as I paid for my food. The rain came into the car and down the door panel. When the rain water dried, I had white residue all over the door(inside), and although I was able to wipe it away, it really bothered me. The white drips were pretty much where the rain came in contact with the cleaner. Also, if the sun shines directly on my dash, I notice the white residue as well. It's almost like a whitish film and is more visible on the black plastics within the Camaro. Am I doing something wrong? LOL:help:
  17. ^ BUMP^ When are these videos coming back to Public viewing mode? They are WAY to useful to lose.
