  1. I recently been slowly getting all the stuff I need to polish and do paint corrections. I ordered the supplies I needed but still waiting to see which machine I want to get. In the mean time, I couldn't wait to at least TRY to see what the products do. I used the orange hex applicator. I know, I know, it won't do what a machine can but it was just a test and I was bored. Well the results aren't perfect but man Adams products did pretty well using just my hands. Just wanted to show yall some results from a test spot. I used clay, polish, hex applicators, Revive, and Brilliant glaze. That's it. The test was done on a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. It has never been corrected and sits under trees everyday. I have some before and after pics. (first 3 pics are before...last 2 pics is after.)
  2. Ok I just tested it. You can zip it all the way. The bag is flexible. Got some pics for ya.
  3. Yes the fender brush does fit. But the bag won't zip all the way. Doesn't look bad though. I can post of pic for you.
  4. A buddy of mine ordered his black Adams Detailing Bag over the summer. I ordered mine two or three years ago so I wanted to compare. The bags are still the same but I noticed his came with some reinforcement at the bottom. Mine did not and it sags really bad when it's full, which isn't a huge issue at all, but when I put my heavier bottles in it they tend to lean and kind of flip out of the bands. So after thinking on it, I found an old duffle bag in the closet. I took the bottom out of it which happen to be great for what I wanted to use it for, and cut it to fit the bottom of my Adams bag. I just wanted to share this little 5-10 minute trick if nobody has already done it for those who have an early version of the bag that sort of sags at the bottom. So if you don't have a board at the bottom just try finding an old duffle bag or something close you can use parts from...Hopefully the photos show.
  5. I got some to try it out. It smells good. It was a very cool idea from Adams. Can't forget you have that coupon code and free shipping over $75 so I sad why not. Although I can't make up my mind if the detail spray smells like pumpkin spice or just cinnamon. Like a spicy cinnamon smell. The air fresheners smell great. They smell like pumpkin cake to me. But the air fresheners have a sweeter smell. Detail spray kind of on the spicy side.
  6. what about nail polish remover? or nail polish remover mixed with alcohol...will a blast of steam loosen it up? I can't imagine having that stuff stuck on the tires
  7. It depends to me. If it is pretty clean then waterless wash will do. If it hasn't really had a cleaning yet then a hose would be best I would say. If it helps any, I was nervous to taking a hose to my engine bay but after seeing people at the car wash do it without thinking twice about it I said why not and did it. I used some plastic bags and covered any exposed wires that might be an issue and used all purpose cleaner and let the cleaner do most of the work and I rinsed it off. No issues at all. If you pop the hood and see things you are not sure needs to be covered then cover it just to be safe. but if you have a more recent car most things are covered already. Look at the adams video on washing the engine bay, they didn't even need to cover anything. I think you will be ok. make sure the engine has cooled down. BTW its pollen season here where Im at and the pollen gets bad in the engine bay. I tried using waterless wash for it and it was no use..Things like that will need to be hosed.
  8. I WISH I COULD. I SPILLED A LITTLE BIT OF WATER ON MY COMPUTER AND THE LEFT SIDE OF MY KEYBOARD DOESN'T WORK...UNLESS THE CAPS BUTTON IS ON. WEIRD HUH? CAN'T REMEMBER HOW I FIGURED THAT OUT. HAHA
  9. IF THE REVIVE DOESN'T WORK I WILL REMOVE THEM. GIVES ME AN EXCUSE TO WRAP MY HOOD ANYWAY LOL.THANKS
  10. I JUST SAW THERE IS A CARING FOR VINYL STRIPES STICKY. MAYBE I SHOULD'VE READ IT 1ST LOL. SORRY
  11. I BOUGHT A CAMARO A COUPLE MONTHS AGO. THE DEALERSHIP OWNER ACTUALLY LIKED IT SO MUCH HE TOOK CARE OF IT LIKE IT WAS HIS OWN.WHEN I GOT THE CAR HE TOLD ME HE HAD ALREADY BUFFED IT AND WAXED IT. WELL IT LOOKS LIKE HE WENT RIGHT OVER THE EDGE OF THE STRIPES WHEN HE BUFFED IT AND I CANT TELL HE WAXED IN A CIRCLE MOTION ON THE STRIPES AS WELL. PLEASE TELL ME THERE IS A WAY TO GET THAT RESIDUE OFF. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE IN THE SUN. I TRIED DETAIL SPRAY, WATER, A BIT OF APC, SOAP, ELBOW GREASE, AND I CAN'T REMOVE IT. I DON'T HAVE PICS OF IT RIGHT NOW BUT IF ANYONE NEEDS SOME I HAVE TO DO IT TOMORROW WHEN ITS DAYLIGHT.
  12. Ok thanks. I will go through with the order then. Heard its good stuff!
  13. I have a 2012 Nissan Titan SV and cant find in the manual what kind of material my interior consist of. Meaning my dash and door. I can't tell if I have real leather, vynal, or plastic. My friend says my dash and steering wheel is leather but I want to be positive. Whatever I may have, is it still safe to order the leather interior cleaner and conditioner? I want to buy some but font know if I have the right material for its use. Any help is appreciated.
  14. WHAT ABOUT IF YOU WAS TO dilute WITH WATER 50/50 OR 60/40? I WOULDN'T WORRY ABOUT FREEZING. I LIVE IN THE SOUTH AND IT FEELS LIKE SUMMER IN THE WINTER HERE. AND SPRING IS ROLLING AROUND SOON.
  15. Sup everybody. I tried searching for this and didn't find anything so im sorry if this is a repeat topic. I just ran out of windshield washing fluid and i was wondering have anyone ever refilled there fluid with adams glass cleaner?? I kind of hate the on the shelf fluids because they make water spots after using it while you're driving. And some dont have the best smell. Also some have hard chemicals for removing bugs and i don't know how good that is for the paint because sometimes the fluid will run across the paint and the sun will bake it. What are yall thoughts on this? Has anyone tried it? And if not do yall think this is a good use for it?
  16. ok i didn't even think about that! You think i dryer cleaner would help take care of that issue? I would think the lint catcher would suck all that residue up.
  17. downy dryer sheets... Lol i don't know if i would go as far as shipping them out, they still may have hope! I guess i will have to order the revitalizer. I will try the boil option.
  18. Thanks a lot for the replies!!! I appreciate it! I didn't think of boiling them I will give it a try. I Did try pulling them out by hand already but it's way to many and I can't see them well on the white towels, I can only see them on the edgeless towels. Y'all maybe right though. I will probably replace them. Might be the better solution and my white towels are almost black now anyway. Thanks again for the replies.
  19. Hey guys, this is my first post and I'm sort of new to Adams and recently received a blessing and became the owner of a brand new truck. My cousin told me about adams and I decided to Order the detail bag (with included items) and some Microfiber towels. I watched all the videos and I understand how to take care of these items and I watched vids on how to wash the towels. I dry my towels seperate from other laundry with no dryer sheets. however, dryer sheets do leave left over strings behind in the dryer from previous loads. I didn't notice until I was through drying off my truck that it had dryer sheet strings, residue, or whatever you want to call it, everywhere (almost looked like my truck was keyed, and my truck is black). I threw the towels I didn't use back in the dryer hoping the strings would come off and stick to the lent catcher but they are still stuck to the towels. any tips on this and how to take care of this issue without ruining anything? Thanks for any help.
