  1. Is VRT ok to use on vinyl vert tops? I know most dealers say to stay away from cleaners and dressings. A few will endorse "ragtop". Evidently there is something in other cleaners/dressings that disolves the underlayer or backing of the vinyl. If VRT is not suitable for tops, maybe you guys could come up with one????
  2. My surprised me with some she picked up somewhere. They are 100% worthless. Wait, let me change that. We keep one under the cats water bowl because its always getting kicked. So, 99.5% worthless.
  3. I cant say that some didnt get on the block, but I did the top of the radiator, all of the hoses and the engine bay walls. Made them look good! Smell bad!
  4. Wish that I had read this earlier. I used the Undercarriage spray on the engine. Everything looked great but after a quick run around town, my wife said "What burning?" we pulled back into the garage and when I opened the hood it smelled BAAAAADDDDD! Luckily no visible damage. But I am not convinced that there was not an open flame under there at some point.
  5. I became an Adams customer with my Christmas gift this year and loved it. But, our cars were all pretty well taken care of so the WOW factor, though there, was minimized. A student of mine owns a 67 mustang that he drives daily. His father has just recently rebuilt the engine to run great and look great as well. I have been giving the kid a hard time about the condition of the paint and chrome after his father had done all of that hard work for him. So, he came over today and we worked on it. I didnt realize that under all of that dirt was one of the most abused paint jobs that I had ever seen. HUGE, DEEP swirl marks and blue jean marks from peopel sitting on the fenders and washing it with what I assume to be BRILO pads. I was a little bummed in having to use up most of my present, but it was fun and well worth it for both of us. We started with a wash (sorry I dont have yalls wash yet). I showed him the plastic bag trick and then we clay barred the whole thing. Swirl killer pad and Swirl and Haze remover was next. My pad was completely red (color of the car) before we were done, but the paint was starting to look unbelieveable. Fine machine polish was next and I could not believe how GREAT the paint looked. Again my white pad went red. We followed with another coat of the fine polish. We finished off with a coat of the Machine Super wax. Even in the dimming light (we didnt start until around 3:00), we couldnt get over the shine! A little chrome polish on the wheels and bumpers and some tire dressing (sorry again, I dont have yalls stuff yet) and the car wasnt even the same vehicle. My friend was very impressed and took down the website. I was trying to be cool like I new it all along, but even I couldnt believe how well the products worked. Heres an idea. Next time your shooting a video, dont shoot one on a car that has been taken care of. Find an old oxidized, neglected daily driver. The WOW factor is ten times more impressive. Sorry, we finished under the eve lights or I would have taken pictures. Thank you again for the great products. I had a blast today and I am pretty sure that I landed you another customer. p.s. I also used my new Spray Glaze on our mustang and my new Undercarriage spray on my wifes Expedition. Both had great results, but the kids car stole the show. Keep up the good work!
  6. Thanks Adam. Unfortunately, mine is an '05. Just paid it off last summer. Everythings in great shape except those bed rails and the well guards you mentioned, also the trim around the rear glass. I guess I'll have to find some Foreverblack. Thanks for the help.
  7. I have a plastic trim piece along the top rail of the bed on a Ford F150 that has REALLY faded. Will this product darken it up as well? I have tried a number of things and nothing has worked so far.
  8. Will the new polish have a different name or will it replace Metal Polish #1?
  9. Thank you all for the replies. I'll go ahead and get a bottle to see what it will do. I already get such good results from the other products that I mentioned that I find it hard to believe a much better shine.
  10. So, if they are both good for all surfaces and the detail spray is quick easy and provides an excellent "touchup" shine, what does the BSG offer, especially if it has no protective properties? I have the detail spray, the machine polish, and super wax. What benefit will I have by using the BSG? I am not trying to be difficult, I am very impressed with the products that I have and am planning my next order.
  11. What is the difference between the DS and BSG? They sound a lot like the same product, or at least like you would use them in the same setting.
  12. I may be doing some damge that I am not aware of yet, but 6 seconds in the microwave does wonders for the pliability of the clay bar. What happened to the yellow if it was the best?
  13. I fine machined polished today with not so great results. Spiders are still there. Jason, when you say keep working it until clear, do you mean 100% cant see it anymore PERIOD, not even at an angle in the light? Or, just that you cant easily see it after initial application? As the polish got thinner on the car, I became nervous that the pad would start to scratch, so I stopped and whiped off the very fine residue. Should I have continued with the D.O.?
  14. Can you use revive polish with the PC? Or is the S&H remover the same thing?
  15. Is the In and Out spray discontinued again? Or, is the post on here the original discontinuation? I went on line to plan my future order and dont see it anywhere.
  16. Putting a shine on good SSis not an issue. I have some SS polish that does that pretty well. The trim piece I am talking about has millions of spiderweb/hairline scratches, nothing big or deep, but MILLIONS. I need something with some cut to it and probably more power than I can muster with the ol' shoulders. I live somewhat out in the boonies, so a metal shop with a buff wheel is not within resonable driving distance.
  17. How are Adam's metal polishes on stainless? Can I use the Porter Cable DA to get a mirror shine on some trim I have. Here's the problem. I have a '68 Mustang convertible. The outer trim piece above the widshield (reveal molding?) I believe is stainless, and none of the parts people carry that particular item. Its in good shape other than the fine scratches all over it, but it stands out like a sore thumb against the new side and bottom molding pieces that are new chrome. Any help is appreciated. John
  18. I have tried that, but here it goes again. [/img] I'm not sure what is wrong. I post on another forum all of the time. I'll get it worked out.
  19. Yes, I have pictures, but haven't figured out how to post them yet. I have the pictures on Photobucket.com, but when I copied and pasted the URL, it had an image with the little red X in it. ill try again later when I get home.
  20. Got my new Porter cable and Essentials II package for Christmas. Tried it out on my wife's Expedition with really nice results for a first timer. The only real problem I had is her Ford is white and finding the "undone" areas and really getting the "WOW!" factor was a little hard. Her mustang is a bright yellow, It will be next.
