  1. This has happened to me since day 1. It only happens in rain though. What I mean is, when I hose the car down prior to washing it doesnt seem to happen. Its after a long rain when it happens? And I know its not too much product, as I apply it, then take a clean muliti purpose and whipe it down completely. Doesnt happen on my tires at all, just trim

  2. So,  my new f150, huge truck. My question is with the wet method. I have a master blaster and are guys using that to blow all the water out of all the cracks, and crevices before the G&G, or are you doing the G&G first while wet, then going back with the blaster to get all the water out ? Just seems like there would be more effort and have to re dry the truck. Hope that question makes sense

  3. We have received a lot of complaints about the blue not being effective for people. I have a batch of the sticky gray coming back in... And in the meantime I'm feverishly working on a new clay compound to replace them both.

I'm glad you said this. I got the new blue, and it wasn't removing much at all. Had half a bar of the old left, night and day. The old worked much easier and removed everything with half the effort.

  4. Sorry guys just trying to learn.

    1) What is paint decon and why do it? (deepwheel cleaner)

    2) If I strip wash, clay, polish, seal, glaze, then wax, where would spray on decon come into that formula?

    3) deep wheel cleaner 1:1. for a 16 oz bottle, is that 8 oz deep wheel and 8oz of water?

  5. Almost finished with my yearly detail on the Shelby. Got the new polishes and paint sealant. All I can say is WOW!!! using my flex with orange and white foam pads. Two spots only required my to use the correcting polish because the finishing couldn't get two small scratches. The ease of this stuff coming off after being worked is effortless!!! So far before the glaze and sealant go on, the shine is almost unreal!!! These products are awesome. Professional detail shop results!!! Pics when I'm done!!!

  6. Only two spots really need both steps of the polish. The rest should be fine with just the finishing polish. My question I'm sure is a dumb one, Will the spots that got both steps of polish look shinier than the rest that only got finishing polish? I plan Adams paint sealant, then glaze, then paste wax after.

  7. Maybe this is not a bad problem to have but, here goes. a year ago I did a correction with the Adams system. Was starting my yearly correction using the new 2 step system and started a strip wash. 5 oz of all purpose cleaner, 3 oz of dawn and car shampoo in a bucket. 2oz of all purpose cleaner, 2 oz of dawn, car shampoo in the foam gun. Then did the 2 bucket wash. When I was done, I had what seemed to me as the same amount of beading like I just waxed it!! I am going to clay before polish of course, but I just wonder if it was stripped or not??

I know I used a lot of APC and Dawn, but wanted to strip in one wash

  8. Why don't you discuss on a mustang forum?

If I have questions about my Adam's products, I come to this forum because they have the best answers for these products.

For any other questions, I go to my Camaro forums.  There you will get unbiased information.

    Just a thought....

Whe I have a mustang question i will try a mustang forum. Thanks for the advice. very helpful

  9. Adam,

Really looking for the pro's and cons of the multiple year protection coatings. Being that you don't sell them, there must be a good reason. Hearing an answer from somebody not trying to make a sale is always better than from a site/fprum that sells the stuff. If nobody wants to answer public, pm me. Just know from Adams, I'll get the truth!! Thanks guys

  10. Hello boys. Huge Adams fan, thousands spent!! (i think)  My question is, is there an a place here to discuss other products offered by other companies? Not for a promotional standpoint, just a no holds barred results format. what works and why? coatings that offer 5 year protection? I want to learn about these things from real world people, not the companies. Everybody here I trust, and I spend all my money at Adams. I just want to be educated on these one every 5 year products from somebody not trying to sell me them!!!

  11. ok, correction done, results perfect. final steps, glaze- then wax topcoat. my question. going forward, after a 2 bucket wash it is ok to add another coat of wax? if yes, i hear guys say before a show, they may do a coat of glaze for that pop. my concearn is build up. lets say i do a glaze, before show, then next wash, top coat with wax. at what point is this all too much on a garage kept, covered car?
