  1. I know the reason for applying Brilliant Glaze before wax is because it has a solvent in it that eats away at the wax. Does this mean that the Brilliant Glaze is eating away at my Machine Super Sealant too? I want more paint protection than shine, so am I better forgetting about using the Brilliant Glaze and going straight from Sealant to Americana wax?
  2. I bought a PC. It did a good job, but took f o r e v e r to get anything done. I like detailing, but I dont have all the time in the world either. It vibrated so bad it made my hand go numb. I hate using it to spread out machine super sealant and brilliant glaze. One time of use was enough for me. I bought a flex and will never look back. The flex spreads out the sealant and glaze a lot better in my opinion because it actually rotates. That is just my 2 cents!
  3. I bought a MI-T-M pressure washer last fall. (http://www.mitm.com/products/consumer-pressure-washers/work-pro-series/WP-3000-4MHB/381/) I also just purchased a foam cannon for it, but have not been able to try out the cannon yet. I really like my PW so far. It is a 3000 PSI unit and it has an adjustable pressure regulator on it. Not many PW's are adjustable. It also has a Honda 200 engine on it and it has plenty of power to to anything you want with it. The only thing I would recommend is to get a longer hose. 25 feet just isnt enough. I bought a 50' hose so I can have a total of 75' now if I need it. So far the only down fall to it is the price. It was $699, but hopefully it lasts a long time.
  4. I use an "atta boy drywall bench". They aren't cheap, but they are adjustable from 18-30 inches tall and are VERY sturdy. They have a step that can support 500 lbs so you can get up to the top without too much struggle. They are made out of all aluminum and fold up and store without taking up too much room. The top is also ribbed so you don't slip when your feet are wet. My truck is about 7 foot tall, and the cheaper benches were only about 19 inches tall and not adjustable. This is the only one I could find that went high enough for me, and I am very happy with my purchase. I actually have 2 of them, so I can leave one on each side of my pickup or line both of them up on the same side if I am working on my yukon. 5. Thanks guys for all of your helpful info. I get up earlier than most people, so I think I will try to get to the car wash when they open on a saturday or sunday morning and I don't think many people will be there at all. I think this would be my best chance to get things done the "right" way.
  6. It is about a mile back home. I would try to do it on a day when the roads weren't too bad so I wouldn't get too much road grime on the vehicle.
  7. Living here in SD, winter raises heck on my vehicles. I used to go to the car wash in the winter, and then use a microfiber drying towel to dry my vehicle. (there is a sign at the car wash that says: no bucket washing) After realizing this causes fine scratches in the paint because not all the dirt comes off from pressure washing, I figure I had to come up with a better way of properly taking care of my paint. I was wondering if I could wash my vehicle thouroghly at the coin op, drive home, put my vehicle in my heated garage, wait for the ice to melt, and then use the waterless wash to finish cleaning the vehicle. I would think this process would help reduce the amount of fine scratches atleast for the winter months where bucket washing is not an option. What are your thoughts on this process? Thanks for your insight!
  8. I have been using Adam's polishes for probably over a year now, and have a pretty nice size collection of products. I am super happy with all of them and now I figure it is time to join the forum family. I hope to get some good tips and inside information to help keep my vehicles looking like new! I just want to say I to all of you and thanks for making great products! Kody
