  1. Glad that worked for you.

That oven cleaner must be some strong stuff. I'm working on a 1964 Corvette that had bright anodizing I needed to remove. A few people said use "oven cleaner". Took the parts to my plater who was going to send them out for dip & strip. I mentioned the oven cleaner and he said "yeah, that will remove it too (bright anodize), I just can't use it at the shop."

Yes oven cleaner works good at removing anodizing. I've used it many times on R/C car parts and bike part to bring them back to a raw finish. After it removes the anodizing you will need to buff/clean because it leaves lots of grey oxidation.

  2. Just a few from the last trip. It was a real eye opener for my 68 year old mother in law! She did ok but suffered big time on the way down. Most of my photos from the school trip are on slides and a few got tossed out in the trash when we moved (thanks to my wife haha). Ill try and dig a few more up at home.

  3. Starting on the south side. Going down the Hermit over to Boucher. Down the Boucher to the Tonto. Across the Tonto. Then over the bridge for our last night at Bright Angel. Then back over the bridge and up South Kaibab to Yaki Point.

Nice love the Boucher Tonto trails! Much more rustic and back country than most of the S rim trails. When I lived at the canyon 20 years ago that area was still a bush whack and from a friend I hear it still is rough but fun.

  4. What trails on North rim? I went to school for guiding at northern Arizona University and know the canyon well. Last guide test was 28 days in the canyon. Last summer I took my wife and her mom down Bill Hall, thunder river and up deer creek what a trip they had! Not living in AZ anymore so anytime I plan a trip it's north rim or obscure south rim trails. On our trip last spring we saw 6 people in 6 days other than down at the river.

  5. That is absolutely ridiculous!! I am one of those people that will deliberately drive out of my way and or pay a little more for customer service. If I were you, I would make the drive to the nearest other dealer even if it's a hike to buy the cars. Then email the window stickers to the owner of the dealer chain and tell him you went elsewhere because of all this.

I didn't go to the same dealer I bought my '12 GT from because I didn't like them and instead drove about an hour north to another Ford dealer for the Boss. Made one inquiry online and the girl on the phone called me within 10 minutes. She even got their trade in guy to quote me a minimum for my GT sight unseen so I wouldn't waste my time driving up there. They stuck to the price and the trade in price when I got there. I would make the trip again for another car because of this service.

I did the same thing a few years ago. Our local Mini dealer in CO (only one in the state at the tim) blew me off and the sales guy was a total jerk. I called the manager over and let them have it then told them I would buy my car from another dealer and the had the audacity to wish me luck. Well when I got home I called a dealer in NY as I had a trip planned and ordered my car and got a trade quote over the phone. We did the drive back and all went smooth as soon as we got back I took the new car in for a check up and made sure the manager and sales guy saw me. A few months after I was informed they let them go as a few others complained also.

  6. I got the Black one a few weeks ago. Loaded up with Adam's APC and it works great for the door jams and other small areas. I also used it on carpets with great results. The main reason I got one was not even detailing. I live in a newer development with tons of dust and my home windows get lots of buildup in the frames. Sure I've used a toothbrush and APC but the Tornador works quicker and blast all the cracks I can't get at. In this photo the right side has been cleaned with APC and Tornador
