Thanks Andrew. Sounds like good advice. I've always waxed and polished by hand. Never used a rotary polisher. Can good results be had by hand or, should I start looking into a rotary polisher?

I always keep my vehicles looking good and enjoy the detailing process. However, I've been kinda just doing things my own way and see now there are deliberate steps to be taken for the best results. My question is this.. Just ordered a new BMW. It should be here in about 2 months. A brand new car that has not been sitting at a dealership for any amount of time is what I will be getting. Does a car like this need to be Clay'd, Polished and Waxed right away? In my old way of thinking I would just wash a new car really well, and then put wax on. Looking forward to hear people's advice.
