  1. The waterless wash towel edges seem to be coming loose pretty easily... I have 6 of them and 4 of the towels have the stitching on the corners coming off. Any reason why this happened or do i just have bad luck with these lol . I've used them a total of 2 times and it's only the WW towels that have this issue all other towels have solid stitching Also a little off topic, but anyone have the sprayers break when tightening them? I was refilling my detail spray and the darn thing just broke above the threads PS: This new forum is awesome, love the look. Also adding attachments pics right in the text without having to reference photobucket or another website makes it that much better!
  2. Interesting thing I saw this morning: this picture doesn't do the invasion of pollen justice - the hood is covered in yellow Hopefully it's visible, but yesterday after the wipe the hood was nice and clean. Day later, pollen invaded it again but this time it settled differently on the hood, more in certain lines in the direction I wiped. Keep in mind the hood was throughly sprayed and wiped so it couldn't have been that I just didn't wipe it where the lines are. Any idea why this happened? Btw, yesteday I did a wipe with my double softs after the hood was clean with WW and now the towels have blue marks on them after a wash. Does WW stain microfibers? or will this come off if i treat it with the MF Revitalizer?
  3. Thanks guys, I was trying to be careful since i have not done a full detail yet so it has no wax. I used the WW on stream setting and blasted the poo away. Worked really well actually, it removed it from the dropping spots but kind it disintegrated it across the hood. Wiped it carefully, rolling the towel a bit as i was moving across the hood and it all came off! i don't have enough time right now to wash the car, but my hood is super shiny once again! It was awesome seeing that I didn't create any scratches since they would be lines and not circular. This may be my new favorite product for weekly maintenance
  4. On a side note - does anyone know if black paint fools birds into thinking it is water? I find it crazy to see how birds specifically targeted my car
  5. My car is coated with a little bit of pollen, and it rained last night. Weird how pollen doesn't wash off with rain. Anyways, drove to Chipotle just 5 minutes ago and when i got back in my car, 2 bird bombs in my hood and one on the passenger door close to the window... Wow they were quick to attack What the best way to remove it? waterless wash and single soft, or WW towel? I also have double softs available. Or should I wash the car since there is pollen all over it? Just washed it on Sunday but i'm tempted to do a quick wash since it now has pollen AND bird bombs. Just wanted to know what the best way to remove these if i don't have the time to give it a full wash.
  6. Yep, that worked pretty well. Thanks guys!
  7. What are pros and cons of each? Who has both and dropped one in preference of the other? I have 20 inch wheels on my Camaro and the space between the barrel and rotor is quite big, enough to fit my hand and the boar's head brush in between (which i have been doing to clean the barrel). It also has 5 spokes, so the space in between them are quite big. I find the boar's head brush doesn't clean as thoroughly when I fit it to clean the barrel, proven by my dirty MF towel when I dry them I'm conflicted between getting the woolies or the turbo stick, but not both. Gotta save money somewhere! I may just stick with the boar's head brush to do the work as well, unless it is not recommended to do so and will destroy the brush quickly. Personal experience is welcomed!
  8. I do have the brush, I will try it. Will it remove the conditioner from the seat where it is properly applied?
  9. I cleaned and conditioned the interior of my car this past weekend. I really like the look and feel of the LIC and LC combo. One thing i did notice today was that my seats had what looked like small white spots in the perforated leather seats. More than likely it's from the leather conditioner filling in the holes and drying. I tried being careful in only going over the seats after the solution had been spread across the applicator pad, but i guess a few spots here and there still go a little more LC. Does anyone have any tips on how to remove this residue? i tried using the utility towel with some LIC and wiping it down, but it's not so easily removed
  10. i don't know if they do this anymore, but the gallon refill and the 16oz have a 'new formula' sticker on mine.
  11. Matt took care of the 3rd swirl & haze remover and swapped it out before my order shipped for SVRT.
  12. I bought a detail kit as my first purchase, and it included hand polishing. Hasn't been warm enough out here/haven't had enough time to do a full detail so I haven't tried them. But after a lot of reading in this forum and seeing that some people experience more swirls created with hand polishing I just bought a machine to avoid that issue with the pads and polishes. Question is, what do i do with the hand polishes now? I have 2 severe swirl and haze, revive, and the pads... and i just noticed that S&H is used for both hand and machine so I will have 3 Is there any use for these that a machine can't do? how long does a bottle of severe swirl last? Should i return some or is it worth keeping them?
  13. Cool, thanks everyone! Did a final wipe with a towel and dressed them with the SVRT and tire applicator. It got dark here, so the picture isn't that great, but it definitely looks darker and almost a matte finish. Definitely better than a super shiny cheap looking finish IMO.
  14. i sure did, seems like the tire bristles are too stiff, wiping seems to make it better.
  15. Nope, comes out yellow. Looks like it's just sliding right down it.
  16. Today is the second time i tried cleaning my tires. Second time that a shade of yellow is left over... scrubbed it with the tire brush, didn't let it dry, and washed it off. I used the APC with the foamer to clean them. I rubbed the part above the 45 in the picture with my finger and you can see it has a slightly darker color, as if i removed the tinting on it. The car has 500 miles on it, so it hasn't been driven too much and no tire dressing has been applied to it by me. You can almost see that the thread is darker in color... Is this to be expected after the use of APC on tires? I have Pirelli Pzero if it matters. Just want to know if this is normal before i apply SVRT or my tire needs more cleaning.
  17. I washed my car the other day (first time 2 bucket wash) and i noticed that the water level in my soap bucket was considerably lower than when i started. The rinse bucket seemed to have taken all that water and was getting full. Is there something wrong in my technique? As i moved the wash pad through the grit guard I usually squeezed it a little bit and pulled it out like that so 'dirty' water isn't transferred to the soap bucket. I didn't really wring it out as roughly from the soap bucket, i figured more water = more suds = less swirls. What bothered me though was that around the end of the wash the water level got closer to the grit guard, making me worry that dirt could be picked up by the wash pad. Should i be wringing out the water more from the pads? more water in the wash bucket, less in the rinse?
  18. Also interested! please let me know!
  19. So today was finally a semi-nice day, so I decided to wash my car around 5pm. I'd been dying to finally use the deep wheel cleaner for over a week so I started with that. Good purple stuff on the rotors and caliper, but didn't see any purple on the wheels. Is that a good sign or bad? Also the all purpose cleaner left the tires with a yellow shade... I know I'm supposed to use SVRT on it but I didn't think it'd be a mandatory step because it discolored the tires, is this normal? Wash came out great, and there was still some light out so I decided to clay the car. Started on the hood and bumper, bag tested it and the difference was definitely noticeable. Sadly as I was working on the fenders, it got really dark out and I dropped the clay! Trashed it, but decided against continuing claying the car because it was so dark. Was it a mistake to start so late? Can I continue the claying tomorrow or do I have to redo the parts I went through? Wash the car again? I'm hoping to use the brilliant glaze and Americana tomorrow too, can't wait for that legendary shine!
  20. Great, thanks everyone! much appreciated
  21. Hold on, I'm not using a machine. It's all hand polishing in the Adam's Essentials kit, so what is 'ipa wipedown' mean?
  22. Thanks everyone. I brought in the pad last night and let it dry over the grit guard like you all advised. Good thing I asked about the order of applying things, i had hesitations about the quick sealant because I thought i had read in some other thread to apply after claying.
