  1. JB, Detail looks insane man! Thank you very much for the tour!!
  2. I have sooo much pollen on my vehicles I just have to laugh at it or else I'll drive myself nuts. All the more excuse to do a polish job!
  3. The way I go through detail spray I always say you can never have enough. But in your case I think its safe to say you have enough. At least for a little while anyway!
  4. No way. I VRT'd the running boards on my truck and my wife nearly killed herself getting in. I loved the way they looked and the water beads nicely. Good thing she was holding the grab handle or she would have wiped out! Kind of funny though - sshhhhh don't tell her I said that.........
  5. That Turbo is beautiful! That's on my list when I hit the lottery!
  6. My thinking exactly. At this point in my life time is at a premium. I'm going to get a Flex and use my PC for 4" pads. Thanks
  7. OK, I just overdosed on "Flex knowledge" here on the forum. There is a tremendous amount of knowledge!! I think I'm ready for the Flex. Just need to find the funds and go for it!
  8. I had a window of opportunity tonight as the family was out. So I thought I would try polishing for the first time (with Adams anyway). First I did a textbook wash on the entire vehicle (Tahoe). Then set up for polish at about 6pm. Sun was getting low so all was good for polishing. I did the left front fender and the hood - swirl & haze/fine machine polish/machine super sealant. I IPA'd and clayed first. From IPA to finish for those 2 panels took a little over two hours with my PC. Everything went pretty well I see some spots that could use a second pass, I needed to tape off more and realize now how useful focus pads can be. I was racing daylight a little so I think another 30 - 45 minutes would have been the ticket. So, in summary it took or would have taken a little over 2 1/2 hrs for two panels. Is that right or is it just my learning curve? Maybe I need to go to a flex or Rupes? My PC is an older 7424 not an XP. I haven't used it in several years and after I did I said screw this I need a better machine. Since I'm limited to polishing in my driveway (no garage space avail.) I feel like this will take forever since I'm so limited with time. Any advice or just be patient?
  9. Wait - Forum members get a standard 10% discount? I did not know that.....
  10. 02 was the last year. However, the configuration is the same. On my 10 Tahoe the filter location even has the screw location for the filter door. I cut the plastic, made a door out of flat stock aluminum and mounted with one screw. There's very detailed write ups on the full size GM forum as well as Tahoeyukon forum. I can see if I still have the info if you can't locate it on the web. For a filter I use the Fram cabin filter. It has carbon in it and I haven't had any musty issues thus far. Overall it's a simple mod with a dremel tool.
  11. ICE CREAM!!!! And what's the couple of corvettes I see in the roof shot? Your clients I suppose? Now I see why you want to keep him!
  12. Looks almost as good as your Chevy! Thanks for the tour!
  13. That's the one I've seen. Its good and wide from what I remember.
