Bill-V8V Posted June 18, 2011 Share Posted June 18, 2011 What a day !!!! I got into a good spot a little before 8 AM, 3 hours later the parade started. They were calling for rain but we got a mix of sun and shade along with a whole bunch of humidity :willy: On to the pictures Can't start a Bruins parade without Bobby Orr :D:D This was the crowd at 8 AM, by 11 AM they estimated it to be 1.5 Million !!!!! I found a good spot in the second row Silly rookie, Seggy must have missed his wakeup call Then Boston's Finest showed up by the bus load to keep an eye on me They must read this forum, they were even watching me from the roof tops It was a WILD crowd The crowd started to grow around 9 AM Then the BPD decided to go for a stroll, it was a nice day to march in formation. And the crowd got even bigger !! Even Canadians wanted to thank us for beating Vancouver I missed the plane in this picture but I got the important part. And the crowd grew even more !!! Then they even started keeping an eye on me from the sky, now way were they letting me near that cup. I brought my MP2 and everything !!!! Bill-V8V Posted June 18, 2011 Author Share Posted June 18, 2011 The players have been all over the town showing off the Cup, even during the parade today they had a crew that ran the Cup between the different boats so all the players could spend some time with it. It was funny watching the guy from the NHL who cares for the cup trying to keep up with them, wearing his white gloves chasing them down the street Then they kept stopping to let fans touch it. Flew into the naval dockyard on board a Sea King helo, took pics for at least an hour with the sailors, hopped on an APC and drove to his part of town for the parade proper.....LOL!!
